Should have added in the team task where everyone had to build an addition to the Taskmaster house, and James Acaster went on a rant after Rhod closed the garage door that had a bunch of useful stuff for the task. Great reaction from James and actually had a tangible benefit.
It's more like a misunderstanding that Alex thought that Greg thought that James was talking about Alex, but Greg was more just surprised that someone accused him of being biased and turned to his special little boy for a second opinion.
Jess is a key part of that whole sequence, and they cut the best part at the end. "See Greg, it's frustrating isn't it, when you're asked to do a task under pressure with everyone watching?" Then after the audience's response, Greg smiling saying "I hope that round of applause was worth the 3 points you just lost", Jess' whole body language is priceless.
I always loved James on the show because whenever he had an out burst, Greg would try in all of his power to try not to laugh and keep up his serious/angry act but by the end cant stop laughing
Greg used to be a schoolteacher, and the way he gets James to apologise is 100% how teachers are trained to calm and defuse and make a student feel regret. My Dad was a teacher, and I've seen him do this many times.

While watching Series 8, Joe Thomas just kinda felt there. I liked him, but he didn't really do much to stand out to me. He was just another contestant. That "Put some fucking effort in!" is genuinely one of my favorite moments on the show. It's not only great in itself, but knowing Joe Thomas, this was late in the series, he was such a mild mannered, quiet guy, but then all this rage and annoyance he's pushed down up till that point finally comes up. Beautiful, really endears me to him.

Flushing the eraser counts because of you erase something, it means you can't see it. If you erase a pencil mark, you can't see the pencil mark. Unless you have x-ray vision or go searching in the pipes for the eraser, flushing the eraser means you can't see it. On the show they also mention erasing meaning it no longer functions as an eraser. If you've ever got an eraser wet, you'd know that even if you dried it out, it no longer functions as an eraser.

I think it would actually...because an eraser is rather dense, it might just sink to the bottom, but all the paper gives the water something to catch and push it down the line.
