  • For weeks, rumors swirled about RFK Jr.'s potential running mate. Would it be Aaron Rodgers or Tony Robbins? Michael Kosta traveled to Oakland, where RFK Jr. finally announced mega-donor tech billionaire and surfer Nicole Shanahan as his VP pick. But Jr.'s supporters seem just as unsure about Shanahan as they are about vaccines. #DailyShow #RFKJr #Comedy

Not this time around. People capitalizing on "more choice" this year will only throw the election enough to barely give Trump the EC votes he needs to get 270. Once Trump is back in office, we can all throw away the dream of *any* choice because in a fascist dictatorship the elections are shams where votes for anyone other than the dictator and his hand picked yes men literally do not count. To preserve any number of choices higher than "1" going forward, we the people must vote for Biden this year. He is the only person running who could realistically get more votes than trump. RFK Jr. has zero chance of being elected, but definitely can spoil the election in favor of Trump, resulting in the END of choice in this country.

I kept hearing them say things like "I don't know" with a willingness to openly question the party, and less of the blindly confident anger with unflinching obedience to whatever creative narrative is necessary to make Trump seem almost infallible.
I'm not at all convinced by the conspiracy theory arguments RFK Jr, but when I've talked to friends who believe these things, it becomes pretty clear that they actually know what that means and actually, literally, read research and arguments for their position. However, the top soil has little to do with nutritional health though I wouldn’t be opposed to more workers doing more quality checks for heavy metals and other things in consumables or ANY regulation of the supplement market.
The health of our nation has many reasons including lack of access to care, lack of exercise due to car oriented designs, food deserts, the way corporations are allowed to to advertise unhealthy products, AND lack of food security or time and money as well as knowledge on how to make a healthy meal for you and your family.

Of COURSE our food supply is a major problem - I don’t see how anyone could argue against that - and no politician is addressing it with the attention it deserves. Further, her being immersed in technology would be an asset. I don’t think there’s any recent VP - or politician for that matter - in a better place to help navigate the upcoming technology / AI revolution, which is likely to be the most significant issue of our time.

Edit: and just stop with the flat earth Bigfoot fake moon landing stuff - he’s never said anything of the sort. She wasn't my first pick, but tbh she shares the same political stances as RFK Jr. and she's incredibly smart and successful. I will admit that I still don't have as much confidence in her as I do Kennedy, but tbh anything is better than Kamala, and the VP almost never does much anyway. The ball in in Kennedy's court regardless now because he will officially be on all the ballots, and he's drawing so many voters away from Biden that they had to have a conference call about whether or not they should abandon the Biden/Harris campaign for another choice. People want to call him a crazy conspiracy theorist, but that's just slanderously wrong. He will be the next president of the US and the more people who actually look into him, and discover what he actually stands for, the more voters he takes from both sides. He's undeniably the best choice for all Americans.

@@jeffbirkner5460 I think a big part of the problem is that it's a false choice. We have an incredibly durable duopoly in the US (even more so in the modern political era). RFK believes he can win (along with a lot of other crazy things) and so do many of his supporters. Probably so too do those who have supported Jill Stein and Ralph Nader over the years even though their largest impact has been to elect Republican presidents who then largely go on to act almost entirely against the stated goals and values of said third party candidates. Until there's rank choice voting for President (another unlikely fantasy), that's more or less just a proven reality.
