Besides it is beautifully composed by music director. I wished I was born in the yester year to witness in person. But music has no boundary, no language barrier. I am a Carnatic musician and teacher and have been a judge in many music competitions. Raga Misra Kalyani in this song is beautifully laid out and goes from one octave to another. K L Saigal was the greatest singer on earth according to my father and his friends. We as children loved Rafi, Mukesh, Kishore, Latha etc any day and do so even now. Now, hearing Saigal's songs, and knowing that he was 'God of music' for all the above mentioned singers, we have to appreciate the melody and sruthi shuddham in his voice which was recorded using primitive techniques compared to later songs
If I remember correctly, Kishoreda wanted to sing a song similar to this as He was a very big Fan of K L Saigalji and considered him as a Guru.
