- kapal kumdla was made in 1939 by new theaters (calcutta) & this song became such hit that it put pankaj mullick at the pinnacle of greatness.Ranjit ray played this with his orchestra sometime in 1943-44.

Couple years back Pankaj Mullick's grandson Rajib Guptaand grand daughter in law Jhinuk visited Mumbai and presented a program of Pankaj Mullick's songs.I attended the same.When Jhinuk took up Piya Milan Ko Jaana,people started humming and clapping on Taal of this song!So immortal song!In Singapore when they presented program,Chinese audience started dancing on this I learn from somone,just as Russians do on Awaara Hun!
