These are absolutely great sounding radios on AM and ssb both rx and tx. The rx audio is better than any hf radio I've ever heard. I found one a few years ago at a local Goodwill store for $25.00 in damn near mint condition and it worked great. I plan on recapping it soon to keep it around longer. Mine is rock solid stable on ssb even when first powered on. Unbelievable quality of the day.
The Henry/Uniden Tempo 2020 has a very quiet and sensitive receiver. They also have a great noise blanker. On the negative side they are not very good on AM. Also the radio does drift some when it is warming up, but not as bad as a Swan or Siltronix.

I actually recommend against purchasing this radio. It is not because it is a bad radio. It is because of age related issues. Inside the radio are nylon gears linked by a metal chain. The gears rotate as you turn the bandswitch. Unfortunately due to age the nylon gears crack and slip. One that happens the output drops because the various switches are no longer lined up. Fixing that is problematic since Uniden no longer makes parts for it. Nice sideband receiver though. There is a web page that goes in to greater detail on that problem, but I don't recall the web address.
