    OMG This is sooooo good! My husband made this soup for dinner tonight and for starters the house smelled wonderful! He only made two extremely minor changes, the first was that he used boneless skinless thighs as that's what we had available and the second thing was, he diced the chicken and sauteed it because boiling it did not appeal to him but other than that he followed the recipe exactly. While eating it he proclaimed "It's a keeper"! So delicious and the lemon juice really adds a lot of flavor. Thank you Suzy for another winner!

    Made this soup as a test run to see if it's good enough to serve company for a Christmas Eve lunch. It's amazing and I will proudly serve it along with homemade focaccia bread. For dessert, I will serve my guests your Orange Cardamom Olive Oil cake which we also took for a test run with absolute delight. Also, I just made your red lentil soup for lunch today. It reminds me very much of the bright and lemony lentil soup I remember from my visit to Egypt decades ago. I love that your website gives the nutritional info for recipes as well. I have made so many of your recipes -- too numerous to name here. Every single one of them a winner. Thank you so much for everything!

    To die for soup! Added, 2 cubes of ginger and subbed half a can of green beans for peas. Light, yet filling, healthy and flavorful. Could eat it everyday! Thanks for the recipe!

    I have been making soups for eons. THIS SOUP IS A GAME CHANGER. I used boneless, skinless thighs and tons of sunac. It shot to the TOP of my soup recipe rotation. Thank you, Suzy!!!!!!! Amazeballs🎉😂❤ *update: skipping the green peas next time. Will add chickpeas instead....yummmmm.

    Just tried this… it was super good and a nice change from your traditional chicken soup. I think next time I’ll use just one lemon. And I’ll make sure to have some bread on the side to dip in the broth 🤤

    Suzy!!!! I just made this beautiful soup!!! It’s cold here in Philadelphia 29 today. Perfect for this soup. Instead of peas i used some Dino kale. Omg that lemon was perfect!! Awesomeness in a bowl.

    That looks delicious. I can’t make it because I don’t have a store because I’m in a college department on campus. I’m in a dorm room. I would have to make this when I get home my mom’s gluten intolerance I would have to make it with gluten-free orzo because she can’t eat gluten

    Made this with a few changes. 😊1)I used pre sliced long thick carrot strips to dice into bite size bites. 2)No red pepper flakes not a fan of spicy. 3)For seasonings I added 1 TSP of Italian seasoning & dry Thyme leaves & 1 Teaspoon of dry rosemary leaves. 4)I used Pink Himalayan salt. 5)Used one lemon, used it’s zest just a pinch & about 3-4 tsps of its juice to taste as my husband & I can’t have too much acidity. I loved this change up with Orzo & how turmeric is used, we devoured this soup! I did use chicken breast’s about 3 small/medium slices but I pounded them to even them out. This soup will be on repeat!😊

    This is absolutely delicious! Flavor by the bucket...sooooo very tasty :D. Thanks for all the videos you post. The "pinch" of some ingredients gives me pause. With the High Def of the videos it looks like a lot that is being added....way more than I would call a pinch...I would love a measurable amount as a reference rather than a 'pinch'.

    Hi dear I'm from slovenia and I love your kitchen and your recipes.
    And I have 1 question how come you don't use sea salt?

    • @TheMediterraneanDish
      @TheMediterraneanDish  Рік тому

      I prefer kosher salt in cooking, but you can use sea salt. Kosher salt is more fine, so it covers the food better than sea salt!
