Adventures With Shane - Manual Garbage Collection

- Enjoy this, cause you won't be seeing much of this. There are only 2 known places in Kennewick, or the entire Tri-Cities for that matter, that still have totally manual collection. Richland runs an RL but it's all carts and dumpsters, no manual bins in Richland. The only places that still use manual bins is this Senior Citizen Mobile Home Park and a shitty little trailer park out by my old house. Basin Disposal collects the shitty trailer park with a Pete 320/Heil 5000 RL. I have footage of that, but due to my unknown standings with Basin Disposal at the moment, I am unable to upload that footage, cause I don't want to risk getting that very kind crew in trouble. Me and Shane were lucky enough to be able to film this Senior Citizen Mobile Home Park once, but we'll likely never be able to film there again, because the manager of the park was pretty uneasy about us filming there. After talking to him for a few minutes, we convinced him to let us film that day, but I doubt he'd want us coming back very often. Which is too bad, cause if I could go back, I could do a much better job filming this =(
Also, there's a quick clip of the recycle truck and some odd graffiti we found while waiting for the garbage truck to show up lol
Anyways, enough talk. Enjoy the video!
This was filmed on August 27, 2010 - Авто та транспорт
@lahluv I think they still have one sitting around somewhere, but this is the only place in the entire WM district that uses manual cans. The trailer park has a special contract with WM. The rest of this guy's route before and after this is all fully auto.
@3amrepmike3 What I'd really like to see is when they use the MSL or one of the M/A's through there. And no, not Christmas themed, this was way back in August lol. It's actually a bunch of duct tape and electrical tape wrapped around wood blocks to keep the 32 Toters from falling in, cause for some reason just this particular Curotto Can had a problem with that.
Awesome. Glad to see a variety of old and rare manual cans there. Liked.
awesome. i cant wait to film manual trash/recycling here. i followed the crew before and they're super cool.
Great video, fast worker-he must be paid by the house! Happy New Beer!
Nice find. You can tell that he doesn't run manual all day, he'd be tired after the first neighborhood at that rate.
Trash guy is doing one hell of a good job! Throwing loose trash and using automated arm, is a unique way to get the job done. Most trash service is done by one way or the other these days. Remember your trash man during the Holiday Season!
awesome job!
nice! DOes WM up there have any Macks?
nice truck sounds nice
a bag a house you would never fill the truck lol
Nice, loved seeing that stop with the 32g brute. Also glad to see that there were no shitty new rubbermaids out there too, liked and favd.
i LOVED the sound ; especially when actually using the arm !Haha, Did the arm like have a BooBoo or something, it looks likeit had giant band-aid
Great to see some manual collection from you! You should check out my new curotto vids! ARe they slowly going to carts? That curotto's grippers are interesting. lol
Thanks again for filming the video

WM should just say screw it and put a few dumpsters in there
great video nice job
Wheres the trash at bro??? lol that shit is light only a few buckets even though its over 100 stops like you said
That was excelent !! Thanks glad you can still film as i can't in my town but got plans for other towns.
I dont know why people these days have such a problem with us filming. We not trying to get the crews in trouble or anything. Seems like a very friendly driver you found. BTW , what happened between you and Basin Disposal if you dont mind me asking ?
@TrashMonkey22 o ok cool. my american guys do this neighborhood and maybe 3 other townhomes on their monday-thursday route ( my grandparents are on this route.) this neighbohood runs really heavy and they start in a regular neighborhood in a surrounding county ( they start at 6am) and they get here by 8am. finish the first load between 1030am and 11am. come back do the other three neigborhoods and do the other half of this one and finish between 330pm and 5pm
nice. how come they dont use a carry can. well thats if they have any
@TrashMonkey22 o ok. how long is he in this neighborhood
nice stuff man! Id love to see a driver say fuck it and use the arm all the way through there haha and what was with all the stuff on the grippers? seeing as it was red and green assuming christmas themed grippers? lol
@wmautoreach123 If would just you read the description you will see that he said that it would be unlikely.
Love it
u hit the ground running. hard worker
BOYCOTT PC p
@lahluv I think this whole mobile home park only took about 30 minutes. And there were probably over 100 stops. This guy is lightning fast! We had a hard time keeping up!
