It really helped. Thanks.
That great to see the little growth at the base, quite exciting!
Id appreciate another video, takinf in elements from the previous video, this one and some new info
Thanks for the video. I have few questions:
1-Do we cut the tip off if we do notching?
2-Didn't mean the new branches come out from where we notched?
I’ve watched your video about nothing and followed the steps exactly and surprised to see the results after 4 weeks so happy, thanks a lot for sharing easy ways.
This tip is a game changer for me.
Thank you so much!
Can you tell me if this process will work on a Plumeria plant. Very well done vids, thank you.
Can I also cut off the whole top as well and propagate that spot?
How is the progress of the notches today? Happy I found your channel!
It grew one branch but I’m thinking about notching again to make an extra branch for stability.
Well done
So did that bark scraping do nothing? It seems like the new branch sprouted right through the bar. Wondering if I should avoid that part and just notch it.
Well that’s a very good question. Indeed the branch came in a place where I did not scrape of the wood.. Maybe just try it without the scraping? I actually notched my plant a couple of times before it eventually worked and that’s why the last time I tried scraping of the wood.
Do you keep the plant at the same spot?
Greetings from Costa Rica.🏖 I am an American expat now living in Costa Rica. However, I did live in The Nethetlands, close to the German border for about 2 years.
Maybe you can cut off the top with the apical bud and root it and then plant it in the same pot to have two plants in 1 pot... Very bushy! Nice video series, thank you
Keep pinching the top new growth. Do you have an update after this one?
so it took a year?
Congratulations on the new growth on your ficus 😊 and glad you’re feeling happier 😉 happy you, happy plants 🪴
Thank you for sharing!!!!!
I loved your video. Thanks for sharing ❤
Is there certain seasons its best to do this in?
Glad to see you back! Was wondering how the notching went. I plan to do the same. Appreciate you taking the time to share you experience.
Hi! Thank you for the video update. I was wondering what I can do to get little growths along the trunk to grow faster? There was a little tiny immature growth you pointed out along your trunk and I have those on mine as well. My ficus hasn’t grown at all since I got it and I wanted to promote some new growth. Thanks
How are the roots?
Some weak black tea can be used to water the plant for short periods
How long have you had it? My ficus sat for many, many months before having a growth explosion. Then when I repotted it, it was mad for another 7 months before popping out four ñeaves at the same time. They just hate change. Patience is the game with these little ones.
Thanks to your video. Now my rubber plant has 2 branches
How interesting! I'm now off to watch how your first video in this series about notching the branches. Hopefully your plant grows a nice branch from the base to balance your plant!
I think it is a good thing to listen to your body when it needs time away from an activity, such as posting plant videos. Better than stressing yourself out trying to create content that does not bring you joy. Glad that your plant happiness is returning!
Did that growth point become a new branch or just a leaf?
It became a branch!!
@@PlantingPlants would love to see!!
Hey! It did. You would like an update video? :)
@@PlantingPlants yes I’d love to see an update! Also does the notching method work for all kinds of ficus? Like even Fiddle leaf fig?
@@PlantingPlants yes please!!!!
Cool!!
I eill try your advice about notching my rubber tree. J have 4 variety.thanks.
I notched my Ficus, not sure where the new branch will sprout.
This is brilliant! Now, dare I try on mine?!
At 5:22, it almost looks like there's another growth point opposite the one at the base of the stalk. Hard to see though. Could just be a fallen sheath. Anyway, good job!
The update on the rubber branching please!!
👍👍👍
Mine took 9 months to start developing axillary buds, however my plant is in medium to low light.
I didn't see how you did the notching. Just saw the end results
It's on another video before this one was made.
Update 1 year later !!
My, my, how time flies!!!
Any update to this :)?
results at 4:20. Good job!
This is the first of a few videso I've checked on this issue. Others did not show the slicing technique and I can't believe how many Eastern Indians have posted with heavy accents which are difficult for me to understand. This video has an accent too, but I can understand. Thanks! :
