Corruption thrives when a country is under sanctions because everybody will be trying to find ways to survive the system. Actually this is why it is easy for you to focus on corruption and not sanctions. Do you think politicians in countries without sanctions are not corrupt? We see it and feel it more because of sanctions.

This 11 Dogs presentation was up to their usual standards of slickness.
    Full marks.
Very well researched and the points delivered have merit in 2023.
In fact, I thought there was much for me to learn from the information provided.
    Thank you.
However, like the witches in Macbeth, much was said that was true but there was even more that was unsaid that would have made this a fair and balanced piece of journalistic content.
If this was intended as a journalistic piece, by omission of relevant information (lying by omission, in other words), I think this video falls far short for the following reasons:
1.The video suggests that the majority of Zimbabwe’s problems are because of America and the sanctions imposed by them.
There is little to no mention of either local or central government's mismanagement and bureaucratic incompetence.
Which is an important part of this our story.
2.There's little to no mention of the fact that, as a country, we have received funds and developmental aid from Russia, Turkey, China, etc and yet said funds don’t seem to be utilised for their intended purpose; be it quality roads, clean tap water or sustainable healthcare (feel free to fill in the blank).
3.As one of the worlds most gifted countries, with agricultural and mining resources, we could trade with pretty much anyone who is not America.
U.S. sanctions have little to do with our failure to convert here.
We have the deal makers to do it to (or so local media tell us).
    Just saying...🤷🏾‍♂️
Ian Smith was sanctions busting with the Portuguese and South Africans, and by the time 1980 came around, we had a country that was comparable to any Western country (at the time).
Our “leaders” are about sanctions busting and yet their objectives appear to be focussed elsewhere as opposed to developing the nation.
As a nation, Zimbabwe (local and diaspora) have all the tools required to move the country positively and firmly into the 21st century.
Why are we talking about sanctions from a single nation (the U.S.) and an inability to get credit from organisations with a history of destroying developing countries?
    ESAP anyone?
With the right operational leadership and a willingness to forgo personal glory/gain, Zimbabwe could (over a 10 year period) be completely turned around, and America would only be able to watch.
In my view,11 Dogs would do well to dispense with the propaganda pieces, and deliver to its audience balanced journalistic pieces.
We have seen them do this before, after all...

Zimbabwe should carefully consider any collaboration with the West, given the history of sanctions and the importance of its rare earth reserves. Sanctions have hindered the country's growth and development, impacting its people. Additionally, Zimbabwe's abundant rare earth reserves are a valuable asset that should be managed responsibly to benefit its own economy. Name one thing or infrustructure that the pink devils have built in Zimbabwe even as a gesture for looting our resources during colonial era. All we got is sanctions because land was finally given back to landless black Zimbabwe who are suppose to be the front of the economy here in Mother Zim Africa. Without China support you will be still under pink man rule. China will never take back the new Hwange power station or the new parliament building or the new Harare Airport terminal because its in Mother Africa Zimbabwe. They should be the ones to have anxiety over the money they have dumped into mother Zim in such a short time. What is there from England to see. Just churches so that you continue to worship their ancestor for them whilst they enjoy red wine & fine dining. Wake up today. No one pink devil will ever think or treat a black man on a higher level like other pinkies. Loves your self & your own. Thats what the Government's in Africa should be focusing on. The Chinese did it & the notes are there for us. Now China is the hate of pink devils & bringing development to mother Africa which has not been done by the pinkies except aid aid with their countries name on the bowels they drop on mother Africa. My issue is with this video. What it seeks to do is prop up ZanuPF and Nagwagwa and cast bad light on his opponents. We all know this country is in terrible state because of ZanuPF mismanagement, not sanctions. In any case, what are the requirements for sanctions to go? Are they difficult to meet? And if not why is ZanuPF struggling to meet those requirements? Since you're into conspiracies, perhaps ZanuPF do want these sanctions because it gives them a good excuse to be even more corrupt and then pretend to people like you that they want sanctions gone. If you can truthfully answer these questions maybe l can understand, sanctions from the Americans mean that companies from America are told by their gvt not to do business with Zim , or that they can do business with Zim at their own risk. What that means is that if the companies lose money because of the unstable economy, the unstable policies of the Zim gvt, the absent of the rule of law, the absent of property rights in Zim, the American gvt will not be in a position to bail out these American companies, since they would hav chosen to deal with Zim. All companies frm around the world get assurances and insurances from their mother gvt to be able to do business with a foreign gvt, the mother gvt acts as collateral, in case things go wrong, the company will be bailed out by their mother gvt. That is what the sanctions from America on American companies mean, no bail out frm the American gvt if money is lost in a high risk investment destination like Zim.
Coming on to targeted sanctions, gvt officials have a tendency of going to foreign destinations to go and wine and dining using gvt resources, so by sanctioning them, it’s a measure to say don’t come to America to spend your countries resources while your fellow citizens are struggling, don’t come our countries for medicals while your people are struggling to get good medical services in the country. Does it make sense to you that gvt
officials fly to foreign lands to get medical services and yet everyone of us is suffering back home. Tell me why the gvt would fix our health systems if they go and get those services from foreign lands. They won’t because it will not affect them if the health system is not working, they will just go to other countries, at the expense of the gvt for that matter. So with targeted sanctions the thinking behind is it will force them to fix our health system, because they will needing it also. Soo the notion that sanctions are meant to hurt the population is very far away from the truth. They are a measure to force the gvt to fix our broken systems and not rush to foreign countries when they need services.
It is unfortunate though that we have pple like China who would now come and say when you have issues and need help abt anything, come to us. It would be a good thing if the same approach was applied to force our gvt to restore our systems, so that everything can work again. It can and it should be done, it’s just that there is no will power, they don’t care abt everyone else except themselves

From watching this brilliant video its a shame to see many people commenting on it as propaganda as a sign of lack of education from my beloved Zimbabweans. We more into fiction than facts. If you have any level of education and understand what sanctions are and what they do then you will understand why Zimbabwe is in the position its in today. Gaining power of our land and minerals and power to the people is exactly why we have sanctions on us, unless we all want whites in control again and we all become slaves to their greed. i do not understand why us Zimbabweans always look for a fiction and blame game reasons to our downfall. We being punished for gaining our country back its that simple, instead of looking and blaming the government every day why dont we look at ourselves and see what we can do to better ourselves and each other. zimbabwean dont wants to mine, livestock or farm because their too good for that but yet that’s Zimbabwe’s biggest economical areas. every one wants to be a movie star or some sort of celebrity being influenced by the west and because you can’t archive that its the government’s fault🤦🏾‍♂️ Kumusha kune land, sell onions, tomatoes, vegetables, chickens, thats money right there, i have a small farm kumusha making me decent money to live and i plan on getting into mining, many other zimbabweans should be having the same mindset and use what our country offers to benefit ourselves not unrealistic western goals when their the ones who have sanctioned us for years because they dont like us but want our lands away from the blacks.

Diversified economies are not affected by drought or government restrictions. We are an intelligent country and intellectual property sell globally. You can’t complete at the highest level from just digging everything from the ground. Our incompetent government and monopolistic large companies are making it difficult to exploit such resources through unreliable power and expensive internet

The economy must not dependent on farming and mining because prices fluctuate and droughts happen

Please tell me what black folk have done with the land, please tell me what taking share's in industries has done for the economy, please tell me what zanu pf taking over in sport has done for us. Before you start blaming the sanctions, have look at how selfish and corrupt your leaders are
