- On this episode of The Fab Forums I get some help installing some new wheels and tires on the Dodge Ram 3500 tow rig. I went with some 20x10 Black Rhino Wheels and some 35x12.50 20 Nitto Trail Grapplers. Very happy with how it turned out.

Welcome to The Fab Forums. My name is Kyle Voss and I am a automotive fabricator that produces Custom Automotive Fabrication content of all kinds. Including Carbon Fiber, TIG Welding, Metal Shaping, Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, Custom Choppers, and everything in between. I work hard to bring you new content on a weekly basis.
Here are some of the builds you can find on this channel.
I have built several Chevy trucks. The first was my 1964 C10 named Crown Spoyal and the most recent C10 truck project was the 1969 I recently sold to a friend named the Black Pearl.
I am also finishing up a custom twin turbo Ford Mustang build I call the Gray Goose. It’s a 400 cubic inch Windsor style engine with twin 70mm turbos. I am hoping to make around the 1000 horsepower mark to the tires on this particular build.
Last but not least is the one off custom hot rod build called the Bibbster. This is what I call a modern day hot rod. It’s made from an old Ford Mustang foxbody, but made to look like an old school open wheeled hot rod.
I also feature other fabricators and shops like Cutworm Specialties hand formed aluminum wide body kit for a BMW e46. Jeb Greenstone has also built a twin turbo, coyote powered model A style hot rod from scratch, and is currently building a Toyota TE72 wagon drift car powered by a 1UZ Lexus v8. Jeb’s custom fabrication skills are fun to watch and always make for good videos.
Check out my playlist to see some or all of these builds.

That’s awesome bonding, wish my dad knew and had taught me stuff like this.
It is SO COOL to see you working with your son in the shop!!
Nice wheels on the Goat. :-)
Got yourself a good helper there. Keep him involved as much as you can.
Awesome Father and son time
Looks great man. Good memories for your son to have, working on the rides with Dad. That's just great.
The GOAT is lookin' sharp, Kyle. Those new shoes really set it off.👌 Your little helper is awesome... definitely has his Daddy's work ethic and fighting spirit.👊 Hard to believe that is the same little guy who used to push the broom around the old shop.😊 Raisin' em right. Y'all have a great day.✌
Keep that young man busy in your shop 👍 . And start him out building his own Bibster battery powered CAR YEAH 🙌
oh man great father and son working together COOL
This reminds me when I was little out in the garage with my dad Always asking questions
I just live that you involved your son! Remember the good old days. Hahaha.
My oldest daughter had a tendency to climbing into the engine bay and literally sit on the engine while i was wrenching.
Always included my kids. Brought them to the track when I drove and to the meets and the streetraces sometimes.
At 3:17 either you have super human strength or those lug nuts were super loose. Great job starting him young!
Great video & truck, the new wheels/tires look great too!
Your helper did pretty good for his age.
thanks
Great video man and making some good memories with your boy see he’s having fun! Truck looks so much better
Cute little man. Making memories. Ty cheered me up this am.

Read all these comments, don't mind any of those hating on your offset. The truck looks great and it's yours to do what you want with it. 👍
Well i guess he's given it a name already.. The Goat..
He talks exactly like my wife when she’s hammered! Adorable!
Awesome Job There Kyle, Couple More Years n You Won't be Able Keep Him Outta the Shop, The New Hauler's Looking Good. God Bless All.
Truck looks good.
Nice to see the future fabricator in training. (Your son.)
Man thats a big truck thankfully we don't get to many of these here in Aussie they're just to wide for our roads. Good to see the young falla in the shop & that he was paying attention to the job at hand, at least while he was there.
Great video and set up. That’s what I’m doing to my 2020 ram 2500 with my 5 and 6 year olds
Great video. I forgot why I was watching and just enjoyed you spending time with your son. Way to go. The truck looks great BTW
Nice truck, looks brand new.
thanks
Great Video! What an adorable polite young boy!
Curious what the offset is on these wheels also?
GOAT=Greastest Of All Time. Your boy is right.
Beautiful looking truck!
Started out nuts too.
Great tow rig dude!! Perfect truck. Clean AF
Super nice truck Kyle👌shop’s fillin up👍🏻
The truck looks great, good choice.

It's looking good. Another great video 👍👍🇨🇱

Ram is badass. Fabcab is also badass
My youngest used to like working on "dad's" my cars/trucks with me. My oldest... not so much. Now they are 18 and 20. My youngest now liles to go Pew Pew shoot o ng woth dad. 😁
you and chuck are twins now. "Minus mega portion"
Hope you have better luck than me. I bought a power wagon because I got a stupid deal on it. Already regretting it.
Good job nice looking truck
Have you had diesels In the past? If so what led you to the Cummins?
Nice way to show your son some shop time!
How brother I Luke your video and loved your some helping you that is so beautiful the way he is talking, ok I have a question, how much negative are those rims I know is a 20" by 12 but how much negative? Thanks 😊
Good times
Awesome channel thank you
Nice shop !!!
Thanks for your video. Did you have any issues with the clear coat peeling off your wheels? My Sierras started to peel in less than a year. I had to have 3 replaced and now the 4th wheel is starting to peel.
Man add some inch and a half or 2 inch fender flares around those tires and it will pull it all together beautifully and protect the truck.
Hey, man looks great, i have the same truck(2017) and color. Is your 3500 lifted or stock and do those tires rub at all - thx! Concerned if i go with those rims and a -23 offset i may have issues
Your boy makes a damn good helper (better than what I have now). Does he know anything about Elevators?? Good looking rig!!
Looks great with those wheels I have an identical truck whay offset did you go with?
are you legally allowed to have the tyres stick out past the guards in the US?
Kyle, beautiful truck. I have the same one! What size wheels are these? 20x10? and what offset?
Love the wheels and tires. What offset are the wheels?
How many inches do the tires stick out from the fenders?
what level or lift kit did you use, and how tall did you go?
Those tyres are sticking out so far they're going to be great at throwing rocks at oncoming car windscreens! Are you going to get some flares?
What is the specific offset on these? Maybe like a -18 ish or what?
love the look i have the same truck just in black one question what it the offset on your wheels please let me know if you can
These are -23. I wouldnt go over that...
What’s the backspaceing
👍👍👍👍
Get some Carli suspension on it and the ride will be amazing
Carli ? I will have to take a look at it

What year is the tow rig?
Don’t do the electronic folding side steps, nothing but trouble with them. They work good for about a year and then have all sorts of electrical problems.
What load range is that tire?
In this video was the the truck lifted
Safety is the first thing you have to do .., Put something on the wheels to stop from moving..
Do you remember the offset on the wheels by chance?
-23
Nice looking wheels and good tires, but the offset is way off man. Gonna steer funky and throw dirt and water all over the sides of your truck. High Tonka-factor if that's the look you were going after.
Is that mega cab strictly a Dodge thing? somebody just asked me what's the difference between a crew cab and a mega cab and I never really heard the term mega cab because I'm a Chevy guy.
Not to late to get things right dude 😋 Mopar all the way 😁
i think so
@@Thefabforums 👍
Why mud tyres on a row rig?
Love the look
Hate those rotor clips.
You have just turned it from a tow weapon to a brodozer............
eh no... brodozers are those queers with 4+ inch lifts and ugly wheels and skinny tires that have a ridiculous back spacing so the tire sticks out 6 inches past the fender, with only a leveling kit you basically need some poking out to not have to cut up the truck to clear
WAY TOO MUCH OFFSET!!!
