Does "Job Manager" have another name in SilverFast SE?

My V600 scanner only has a guide for 4 35mm slides; can I get one as shown for slides???

How to solve magenta tint through all kind of negative film (portra400, Superia 400, E100)? I have applied the scanner profile from i1scanner.
BTW, job manager "copy and paste setting" will disappear if you zoom in and zoom out from a frame

I've been trying to prescan a 35mm strip for like an hour, and it only wants to let me edit the first frame with the Plustek 120 Pro, maybe there's a bug I don't know but the workflow seems really bad. Prescan shows the first frame, and that's it, I can't view another frame, it's very unintuitive.

@Tj Holowaychuk A filmscanner with automated transport of the filmholder like the OF120 Pro requires a different workflow than a flatbed scanner as shown in this video. There's another video from us on YT which explains how to edit more than 1 frame with a filmscanner via the Overview right around 3:52 ua-cam.com/video/kaciTT5AkC0/v-deo.html . Safe scanning!

@@LSI-SilverFast thanks! The Plustek support team helped me out, I think I get the workflow now. It would be great if you could change prescan resolution since it takes so long, but from what I’ve read that’s not possible

Question: I have the version Silverfast 8, SE Plus, and this version only has the option to copy setting to all frames and not to choose only some settings. I dont have a job manager like in the Studio version. Is that true?

@Bert Heemskerk the JobManager is available in the Studio versions, that's true.

    I meant a guide for 12 35mm slides

@ J. Doe the transparency unit in the lid of the V600 only covers one row of 4 35mm slides.

I have Silverfast Version 8.8.0r24 and there is no option to "find frames". Is this only in the Studio versions?

@Leslie Nicole find frames is not only in Studio versions. Safe scanning!

@@LSI-SilverFast I can't find this option in Silverfast 8 AI. I'm trying to scan negatives in the holders and when I do batch scan it just scans one big image. I've been searching for how to make Silverscan do them individually. Your documentation simply says "With SilverFast the simultaneous scanning of multiple originals is very easy. First of all you create all required scan frames or use SilverFast's Automatic Frame Detection to do this for you. After the images adjustments are set, batch scanning starts as follows: " but it doesn't say how to make it automatically detect.

Great info thanks but don't see how that works with photos as not a setting in batch scan.

@Lance R. please explain the question. Happy to help.

SilverFast - Scan & Archiving Software I can see how to do frames when using negatives but when I lay prints on scanner and hit frame, there is no selection for prints and just makes a single large frame over all of my prints and not individually. Thank you.

Lance R. If you position the prints with a gap so there's sufficient contrast for the algorithm to find the edges, it finds the prints individually. You can help the algorithm to find your prints by increasing the resolution of the prescan under Preferences -> General -> High Resolution Prescan -> and choose 4x or 8x for best results. Keep me in the loop and safe scanning.

The software I just purchased looks nothing like this. I have no job manager setting.

@Graham George can you post a screengrab and your scanner model? Otherwise please contact our support here www.silverfast.com/problemreport/en.html?filter=assistant

I have used the Epson Scan with good results for over a decade with a V600 and V550, which are no longer supported. I purchased Silverfast and now scanning has become one of the most frustrating and annoying tasks imaginable. I can't put in words how much I despise this software. Clunky, counter-intuitive, and slow don't even begin to describe this crappy program.
