I absolutely LOVE the long rant/breakdown of what makes the Deftones and Linkin Park chords sound what they are. Those are literally my two favorite bands - now I just need to learn more about guitar to fully comprehend what you mean. Do you have any tips on pathways to follow on guitar to get to making these kinds of sounds?
Two amazing bands for sure. I could go on about that stuff forever haha. You on IG? Hit me up @exormusic if you are and I’ll help you however I can. There’s way too much stuff for me to go into here
Dude awesome job man definitely getting LP vibes. You got this shit down to a science bro. respect. I produce a lot to just trying to figure out how do more vids. Solid work. Are you mixing your drums or just running them in the plugin. you using midi bass or doing the real thing.
Appreciate it! I can't remember whether I mixed all the drums separately on this, but honestly the GGD kits in my opinion sound amazing without any processing, but I do usually process the kicks, snare and OHs separately. And the bass is real bass guitar
@@RichiiWainwright Yeah I been curious how people been processing the GGD kits. I like them too. I guess it's easy to over think things in the world of production. sounds good dude.
I love those Guitar Layers. What is the dif between Metallica and Slipknot? Looks like its the same sound und you got 2 different sounds at the end. Is that right? 6:42 and 6:54
just been getitng back into linkin park, this is so cool. curious if sometime you could help walk me through the process of producing like this? ive been producing for around a year and cant really get my songs to sound as good as i wish they did. lmk!!
Would love to see somebody try to figure out that synth in ruiner and the one from the bridge of Heresy. They both sound super good and I can't figure out how to remake them!
Hey bro, how do you deal with latency issues when recording so many layers? I have to disable every FX slot whenever I'm trying to live record. Even with just a single Guitar Rig 6 instance, I can feel some latency (it’s barely there, but I know it is). I keep my buffer size on my Focusrite set to the lowest.
I actually am dealing with similar issues myself at the moment. I just upgraded to a new Mac Pro, and after never running into latency issues before I'm really struggling to record live, and I'm struggling to find any way around it too. Super annoying, and something I barely have any info on unfortunately since I've never struggled with it until now. If I find something that fixes it I'll let you know!
can you make a title fight type song? it would be great . check them out if you have never heard of them they are like a mix of alternative rock, post hardcore, punk and shoegaze
@@vladv5126 I'm going to agree to disagree. Everyone has their musical preferences. I have core memories from all of their albums. I even like all of Mike and Chester's side projects. They all hit different things for me.
Not really, it helps but it's not needed. I feel like anyone can teach themselves everything they need by just learning a lot of songs and writing a lot of songs. I don't even really use theory when I write. Just when I talk about or analyze something I've written

Awesome job! The only thing missing in my opinion is going major in the choruses. That INSTANTLY makes anything LP.
Great track, man! You nailed it! I think there's something in the air 'cause this week I made a LP-inspired track too, lol!
Appreciate it! Haha no way where can I listen?
I made one also !!!
This was crazy. Make more link in park type stuff!
I really wish I could play the guitar like that
This is SO good thank you for this!!
This is fantastic, thank you

Jaw drop...JUST AMAZING
Awesome discussion bro
bro love the c part
nailed this ! Would love if you could go in depth with the guitar tone !
How would I go about getting the guitar tone? I've tried time and again and I just can't get it right.
Liked it a lot , man. But what's up with the sound? You know the plugins so well, it's just for demonstration?
Not sure what you mean? Is something up with the sound?
@@RichiiWainwright You didn't go from what you had in your mind to the finished track, no mastering, only an idea (That's kinda what i meant)))

LP = Hybrid Theory, Reanimation & METEORA... period
Respectfully=No
Sounds more like MTM era
@@normangriffin2 Respectfully, *GOOD* LP is just HT, Reanimation and Meteora.

quick question do you think music theory is important to writing riffs?

@@RichiiWainwright so.. just for asking.. can i learn the guitar just with covers of songs?
What is the deftones chord, bro ? Can be a little more specific please ?
Power chord add9. Or in other words it’s a root fifth and ninth
@@RichiiWainwright no 3rd ? Interesting. Thanks for a reply!
Drop C# is the wrong tuning? But the tabs are all in drop C# 🤔
He's in Drop C not Drop C# its basically the same thing just a half step lower so its CGCFAD if I remember correct
Where are you from?
England
This doesn't sound like LP to me. It just sounds like rock.
amateur sounding
