You could extend this theme into "the main ingredients for repairing and maintaning hydration in the skin", like ceramides, peptides, glicerin, vegetable oils and etc. I missed the great barrier relief from Krave in this video.
Yeah, the THIRD ingredient of that Belif toner is alcohol denat / denatured alcohol which is obviously NOT one of the good ones for your skin! Not sure why you guys advertised that as suitable for all skin conditions if it contains that drying, damaging and aging ingredient in such a high concentration.
They have to promote the product since its a sponser video, this days most of their vid are like this unlike back then when they genuinely review different types of poducts
So true! Not every product they suggest is actually "good" for the skin in the long run. Their advice is always good though! But, at the same time they need to make a living off YT so they have to do sponsorships so I totally understand that. For example Many YTbers have done sponsorships with Dr.Jart's cicapair's line recently and if you use those products for a LONG time they are damaging for your skin because of the ingredients in it. Also, I didn't realize how many products I like have silicones as I have gone with my skincare towards a "Cleaner" formula. ALSO, i read a lot about it and some popular YT dermatologist have mentioned how horrible products with silicones are in the long run for your pores!!! Silicones in the long run stretch out your pores.( or at least that's my understanding from the videos i watch hahaha)
@@kate.m8499 Yeah I have tried a few of their popular products that weren't horrible, but didn't wow me either. But, then I really researched their ingredients they commonly use and how full of silicones their skincare products have and won't buy from them anymore. There is to many better cleaner skincare brands out their to pick from you know
Ive been waiting for this type of vid for ages .... thank you! More about the ingredients would be appreciated. I'm trying to keep my skin care as "clean" as possible and without the nasty alcohols or silicones. When I read the comment by @Alexis Stancov I learned that denat alcohol is the 3rd ingredient for the Belief Toner (3 cheers to Alexis 👏)! I understand it's a sponsored vid, however, your integrity isn't 100% if you advise us to use such products that can cause skin damage.
I try applying hyaluronic acid essence with for 3 to 4 layers before serum; this really helps to hydra my skin and repair my skin barriers. I have been doing this for almost 2 months and I can see it makes big difference for my skin. My skin has become healthier, smoother and more clear.
Alcohol denat/denatured alcohol is NOT a fatty alcohol, it is very drying and irritating on the skin! Just something for everyone to be aware of. I see a lot of comments saying “not all alcohols/silicones/etc are bad!” And while that is absolutely correct, alcohol denat is certainly one of them. I used the belif aqua bomb moisturizer for awhile before I was aware what denatured alcohol was, and I couldn’t understand why my skin felt moisturized initially, but felt more dry over time/long term.
You both mentioned some good products. I've been using The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA surface hydration formula. It works great to protect the skin barrier and only $7.70! I've really been liking The Ordinary. Straight up skin care with nothing extra and very affordable.
Hi Felicia Hi Rowena i don't have enough words to say thank you because you guys made me understand how to take care of my skin, back in the days when i was a girl who don't really do much about her skin but just compliant is now completely changed and really started working on her beauty i must say that you guys are so genuine not like other vloggers who just promote products once again thank you so much. 1 thing i want to share with you guys is that i have so many brown spots on my face because i never wore sun screen i have been using Mederma scar gel its very famous in india because it says its no.1 scar treatment gel in USA its active ingredient are Allium cepa extract, Allantoin so i have used it for 2 months but nothing happened may be it brightened me a bit but Nothing magical i think that my scars are in the deeper layers thats why it didn't work pls let me know will ordinary niacinamide 10 + zinc 1 and ordinary vitamin C and ordinary Retinol will help me in having a spotless face
I love dr. Jart!!!! The cicaphin overnight mask has been a game changer for my skin. I can wear a pore filling primer and a good pressed powder and it finishes like a foundation. Your channel has been a life changer for me.
I have the belif aqua bomb and I only used it once. It triggered my fungal acne. Will keep it and retry it again once my skin clear up again. I'm using Clinique Moisture surge. Which is almost similar but has lesser ingredients and is totally fungal acne safe!
I feel like my holy grail toner would fit in this video too! nakeup face stress 0 toner is 90% sea water and super gentle and watery but very hydrating especially when layered! A lot more brands in korea are coming out with prebiotics/probiotics in their skincare. I currently have Innisfree's green tea probiotics cream in my collection :)
Gel and water based moisturizer should use in summer. I already stored my origins ginzing and Korean gels away. You guys should talk about seasoning changing products and allergy issue that causes by the change of seasons.
Great video guys I am new to skincare and I am currently living in Japan and I am enjoying Japanese and Korean skincare products. I love innisfree green tea serum and the green tea balancing cream. I have also started using Centella Asiatica which is helping with my dry skin. Keep up the good work guys and looking forward to the next one
*I just found out, not to long ago, that you shouldn't just throw any type of facial treatment on your face right after showering bc certain ingredients can irritate open pores! I'm in DESPERATE need of a great hydrating skincare routine for dehydrated, but also acne prone skin!! Now, I have KP, and always have, but it's always been on my arms and legs mostly ..... but now I've been getting a lil cystic acne on my face, as well as what seems like KP bumps towards my jaw area! I'm almost 38, and my skin is getting drier with age, but I've also never had acne until after 30! I used to have beautiful skin, and it seriously kills my self esteem!!!! But, there are SO SO MANY ingredients in skincare that makes it hard to know what I should apply after showering, and what I should wait to apply, as well as how long after and. ..well... when, and what lol!! I could research, and should but, I'm so impatient its terrible! I'd love to have a list of products to get, with a darn schedule of when and how they should be applied lol!! My biggest thing though.... why am I getting cystic type acne with dry skin?? And I swear, I can't get it to go away or get better!! HELP ME SOMEONE PLEASE!!!!!*
@@jeremyhill634 I've been subscribed to her since she's been in UA-cam! I remember some ingredients she went over, but I'd like to kinda hand a breakdown of everything and about when it should be used!
I used the origins gel moisturizer but stepped over to Clinique pink gel moisturizer. I love it so much! Makes te skin really soft and the ingredients list is very safe and non irritating 🥰
Can you talk more about drugstore brands? Brands like loreal or olay.. I would love to hear your opinions on the loreal revitalift, clay masks and olay whip moisturizers....
Sephora has had a couple of really good Belif sets. The Spring Set (now out of season) had a standard-sized aqua bomb, mini/travel sized aqua bomb jelly cleanser and a little sample of the sleeping mask. The winter/Christmas set (currently in season) has a standard-sized Belif Moisturizing bomb, mini/travel sized aqua bomb jelly cleanser, and a sample size eye bomb. These sets are both $38 USD which is the same price as the moisturizers themselves so its basically just free minis/samples/ Either way my oily skin is LOVING all the products from Belif. 100% recommend.

La rouch postage I have acne and used it from looking at a previous video. I would advise those wanting to try it to be careful as it can also cause you to breakout like I did. I broke out like crazy

How can you test all those products without getting bumps bc you’re changing your skincare routine? If I change it I already have like 10 bumps on my forehead!
Some of you need to realise that alcohols and silicones have been put into products for the purpose of keeping the ingredients together and the idea that silicones are so BAD for your skin is a myth. If you’re allergic to these ingredients, that’s a different case but for everyone who’s like “omg there’s alcohol in this omg there’s silicone in this” bro relax! If “all natural” ingredients could do what synthetic products are better at doing then skincare brands wouldnt be using synthetic products. If you’re so pressed why dont you formulate your own products without any of these things. 🙄

I see many comments pointing out or complaining that the presence of alcohol in the products shown in this vid, was not stated. Alcohol is contained in most products and not necessarily a bad thing. I just watched Dr Drays video talking about alcohol and it’s role in skincare, so I advise everyone to watch it first before “cancelling” any alcohol containing products as she also mentions. ua-cam.com/video/gtVdYML8AYA/v-deo.html
