Since you're always eating make sure to take advantage of feijoada on Wednesday and Saturday. Also for a snack try a coxinha when you're in br. The gates gru are all over the place so when you're heading home be aware.
Haha the livescope helped. But I’ve been on this bite the last couple years around the same time. So I knew they were there. Next episode Sunday 10/8 @ 8a.m. ET
Very nice snook on artificial bait! Yes, you do get caught in the rainstorms because you love catching fish. If they would quit biting, you would quit fishing, lol. Thanks again for sharing the video and taking us along.
Man LiveScope can be such a game changer. I use it all the time up in Indiana for crappie and it’s so effective. Love watching how the fish react to my baits
Yeah it definitely is a game changer. But Snook can be so picky. I’ve used the live scope and found them and still couldn’t get bit. It definitely is really cool to see how they react to baits based on conditions. Next episode Sunday 10/8 @ 8a.m. ET
Ahhh yeah I need another camera for the live scope. It doesn’t work that well in saltwater though because of current and the swing of the boat. I may see where a fish is and have to still guess where to present the lure based on the current and wind. But even still if I get the bite the live scope might not show it because of so much movement. Next episode Sunday 10/8 @ 8a.m. ET
We've been slaying the bull reds up here in Sebastian this last week. Mullet run is in full force! Ever thought about upgrading your livescope to the newer version? I have it and love it. It has so much detail. I call it live action video game fishing. Lol. Take care in Brazil Rich!
Are you still getting fish around there? I'm coming down to Florida this week for only the second time ever. Was wondering if the mullet are still around?
@@ProtectYourNecks mullet are in full force. Bull reds are in. If the water is clean the snook and mackerel have been there. If the water is dirty the snook will be up in the surf where it gets cleaner.
Hey ask your buddy how he likes that new skiff he was fishing out of. I've been seriously thinking about picking one up but don't know anyone who has one. Maybe you could get the manufacturer to send you one for a review!!!
Hey Rich I was wondering before you move down to Florida you were fishing cold Waters in the winter time what was the best bait that you use to catch fish any kind of fish in particular. I live in Central Illinois so might have been a little different fishing from where you're at but I figured I'd ask you
Love your videos always, please be careful 2:31 walking around a mess of ropes without a lifejacket (at least none seen) anything bad can happen. We care about you and want you to be safe dude
I'm pretty sure it's called the milha lite skiff. From what I've seen of them I'm most likely getting one. It's just a hair wider than most of your kayaks. Just a tade heavier than most of your kayaks. But it goes in skinny water. I've seen up to a 15 hp motor out in it. But that's higher than what the specs say you can do. It has a ton of storage. The best review I have seen was a video by tiny boat nation. That guy does conversions himself and he said for the price point he ended up just buying one and it will be his main boat used for a lot of different applications. He actually had himself and another guy fishing at the same time on it. Not many places have them yet. So acquiring one may get expensive due to shipping. I think they run around $3500 just the shell no motor etc. If you get oneid love to hear more about it. I'm just outside tampa fl
thanks for great entertainment on fishing . i fish in murrells inlet south carolina and have a great time. love that boat your on what brand ? bruce allen
Awesome vid as always Rich, have fun in Brazil! It will be beyond impressive if you catch some nice fish there, where the only intel you get is from a local, where your girlfriend has to translate! 😎🎣
Hi, love your videos! Got a few quick questions. I'm new to fishing and I'm trying to teach myself. Can you tell me what pound test do you use for your fluro leader, how long is it and what type of knot do you use to combine your fluro with your braid?
Hi there, and sure thing. I’m using 60lb fluoro in this video tying direct with an Albright knot to 20lb braid. My leader is about 5ft. Length of leader and what pound it is will depend on structure, time of day, and water clarity. Next episode Sunday 10/8 @ 8a.m. ET
what app were you using for the tides? I have a hard time finding accurate info in my area (slightly north of you, up by Cocoa Beach/Port Canaveral). Always looking for something better
Hahaha I love Striped Bass because you can catch them shallow, or deep. Also in so many different ways. You don’t need bait most of the time. Snook some days or nights if you want to do well like catch 5 or more fish you need that bait. I grew up targeting Stripers so I have that pretty well dialed in. For now Snook sometimes still trick me. Therefore, still much to learn for the time being. Next episode Sunday 10/8 @ 8a.m. ET
I’ve fished the snook and lived in FL but you’ve got it man there really is nothing like the striped bass w the various ways of targeting them, as to why I would say they’re the best fish in the world😂💯
Your off to Brazil ??????? with this JERSEY wkn maybe classic fall blitz of stripper action again like last year ( but nice Snook action) Gotta work on gettin a private jet.
Haha I’m actually in NJ now. Fished yesterday in the surf and it was extremely futile. My vids are going up periodically but I have so much content it’s taking some time to catch up to real life time. Next episode Sunday 10/8 @ 8a.m. ET
Most if not all big Snook are female. Smaller snook are mostly males and even change sex to female when they get bigger. Tight Lines! Next episode Sunday 10/8 @ 8a.m. ET
you can miss me with pretty much anything but underwater depth / contours and temperature. maybe spotting bait and fish if you're out in the middle of nowhere. but sitting on a dock watching your bait sink and watching a fish grab it is too much for this guy imo. foot powered 2-3 hour session each night / morning is more my speed.
You think that’s better or a big bull shark or dolphin? That’s fishing unfortunately especially in Florida. Eat or be eaten. I try my best to help the fish as best as I can.
I like that he fully shows the releases. A lot of other creators just cut and you never know if the fish survives or not.
Hahaha if that happens it probably wasn’t a good release.
Can’t wait for more Florida videos!
Glad to hear!! Next florida episode Sunday 10/8 @ 8a.m. ET

I was going to ask the same question, cool little one man skiff.

As a fellow south paw, the design on the MQ really leaves feeling short changed. Great reel otherwise though
What make and model boat is that Rich?
It’s a 24ft fishmaster. I believe it’s discontinued so maybe try Facebook marketplace or eBay for one.
