    Divine Pulse actually started in Echoes as Mila's Turnwheel.
    Speaking of Echoes, I feel like that's the overlooked game in the series. It was really good.

    My personal favorites were Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, but this one might finally upstage them.

    You better be liking it after that shit you said during it's Timeskip trailer.
    But in all seriousness, I'm glad you're liking it so far. Hopefully it continues

    Have to disagree completely with the comments on Awakening’s graphics and presentation (minus the lack of feet).

      @@JRPGCentral Not really, most Fire Emblem channels I check out pan that game, and it's part of a big divide between communities.
      Honestly, I think a guy like myself who really digs the GBA, SNES, and 3DS games (the good ones) is in the minority. Probably because unlike most people I tackled the series as a whole rather than growing up with a specific series of games.

    • @JRPGCentral
      @JRPGCentral  5 років тому

      I thought most people loved Awakening? Isn’t it the best selling entry or something like that? Now I know a lot of people didn’t like Fates (which I actually liked more than Awakening for some reason).
      Yeah, it’s impossible for me to not have heavy bias towards those first two games. It’s cool that you went into the series all at once.

      @@JRPGCentral Awakening was big with people who never played Fire Emblem before, but it seems like the more dedicated fans really dislike it. I've been visiting a bunch of FE channels over the past few months since 3 Houses has been incoming, and while they're all great, none of them really like the 3DS era of games, and usually focus on SNES and Game Boy era FE.
      To be fair though as a community it seems like FE fans never agree on anything and usually divides themselves into different camps for preferences, so maybe I've just been focusing on the ones who prefer those kinds of games. I'm also not the biggest FE fan, it's a franchise I like but don't obsess over, so I won't pretend I'm the best sample for info.

      @@CaptainMarvel4Ever I got into the series with FE7 in 2003 and I loved Awakening. I think most people universally hated Fates, but Awakening has generally good reviews other than some people who felt the trend towards fanservice and pair-ups began with Awakening, which is their main critique of the game (plus simple maps and lack of varied map objectives, which are fair criticisms). Most people who played Echoes liked it. The problem was that most people didn't even bother to play Echoes

      If you're on the fence at all, if you see something that intrigues you, I can almost guarantee you'll like it. Now if you look at it and think there's nothing there that interests you at all, the game won't change your mind. The combat system is actually fantastic

    • @DazeDemon
      @DazeDemon 5 років тому +2

      this game literally branches off into 3+ completely different paths (from midgame onwards) based on your choices... there hasn't been a game that is impacted so heavily by choice since Mass Effect 2, and this game has more meaningful choices than that game even
