@@layneraczy9324 i was trying to figure that out too, i guess it's this, notes from the bottom to the top: C G Aflat , B flat, with the G on top again (dont know what this chord is called though, and i may be wrong) , on its own it sounds quite disonant with that close cluster of notes, but sounds sooo good in context of the surrounding chords
@@chansherly212 It reminds me of the Eb chord Adam used in the chorus of Hello, where he has the 4 and 3 rub against each other. The next chord he plays is a Eb7 voicing with no Eb that then moves to Ab, so maybe this is an Eb6add11 with no root.
Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied. Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you [falsely] because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven. Thus they persecuted the prophets who were before you. God sees the struggle.
this is absolutely beautiful. so great to close your eyes and take a deep breath to, to calm yourself from all that's going on. then, of course, you open your eyes, and start fighting for justice.
This is one of those short beautiful songs that I have to listen to at least twice because I dont feel like I can appriciate it enough in one go, just like Little Wing by Jimi Hendrix or Duke Ellingtons solo version of Paris Blues.
Bittersweet isn't the right word, because, like Strange Fruit, in context this is crushing and tragic. But somehow, in the midst of giving a voice to our pain and sadness, I hear a glimmer of sweetness and hope.
Ngl, At first I thought this was a version of Fairytale (the main theme) from the Shrek soundtrack... not that it’s not beautiful, but I didn’t expect it along side the thematic tone of Adam’s video. A wonderful song though nonetheless Edit: I don’t mean any disrespect, just something that caught my attention as it’s really applicable to the opening line/chorus of this song, not of the songs entirety. It definitely differs in the J A Z Z
Imho digital piano just doesn’t do it for me. For this music with that amazing voice ... just seems so wrong. Would you play synth bass in a jazz big band? Digital piano is not piano.
@@deplant5998 it took you a week to come up with that weak comeback, and you couldn't even come up with something to say that had to do with what I actually said, you had to strawman my point and put words in my mouth.
That vibrato is hypnotizing
Wow. 01:27

Did you record the keyboard part first or did you both use some kind of app to do it? (Sounds great)

Any chance of releasing this on Bandcamp too?
I know this song from the Magnus song Summer's Here, but never knew it was largely sampled from this

You aren't the writer or performer, so I don't see why your opinion matters.
@@tissuepaper9962 so you hate pianos?
