That surfer needs recognition!
I'm 69-years old and have kayaked 4,400-hours in the last 20-years. I always wear a life jacket. Also, I carry a red towel to signal, a cellphone and an emergency beacon. Your videos show, "More Money Than Brains."
"More Money Than Brains" should be the motto on Florida license plates.
Not wearing life jackets is crazy.
We also have sporty inlets/bars in the Pacific NW. The Columbia bar is only one of them that is well known. There are many more. Everyone wears lifejackets running the inlets, even my dog. Or they can watch us from the dock..
My boat rule is. When I put a life jacket on, regardless of where we are. Everyone puts on their life jacket.
100% this rescue should be credited to the surfer risking it all to help. Great job to all that help save this guy.
Honestly seemed like he wasn't even slightly at risk he was more calm then me in the deep end
That's why those big-wave-surfers and their jet-skier practice day in and day out how to quickly find each other and drive out of trouble with speed! These jet skiers are pros as well! Thx for sharing, really scary how these heads simply disappear again and again between the waves, and these seen / filmed from a higher point!
Fantastic rescue. Good job, surf boarder.
What are people thinking trying to boat in those conditions? Nuts.
Out in that chop and 99.9% of boaters don't wear a PFD. That's insanity at its best. Hat's off to the surfer for his bravery!
Need a great life jacket. A neoprene-vest one. To really keep your head above the water.
Conditions were gnarly and dangerous.
@@shortaybrown Agreed 👍! Only nutbars go out there unprotected.
@@shortaybrown Sir, any Coast Guard-approved would be alright. The USCG approves more than one type. Captain Keith, Tight lines.
That was an exceptional episode!
incredible footage
WHY would you want to go out on days like this? "Hey honey, you feel like tossing your cookies all day?!"
That surfer is a badass!
Thank-you to the Good Samaritan surfer---the guy who fell in could have easily drowned.
ALSO, WHY GO OUT ON A DAY LIKE THAT. They planned it for their day off and didn’t want to cancel because it was choppy?
Just cancel and wait for a better day.
Boat seems underpowered with only 400HP. Prolly should have 700HP for the Atlantic Ocean.
Fenders out: Bad seamanship
When I see boats going out into this sort of a sea, I am reminded of the old adage that "discretion is the better part of valour". I am also always perplexed by how our American cousins regard lifejackets as an optional extra, especially when going out into breaking seas.
That's a boat full of not boaters and not fishermen. Hmmmm.... I wonder what they were doing out there? Hmmmmm....
Social media influencers 😂
Surfer wins.
👍
I can't imagine going out in these conditions much less going out without wearing flotation. Was there a small craft advisory at the time?
Where was the throwable, it's mandatory on any boat over 16' and a throwable with a line is required on 25' boats!
Where are you going on a day like this?
It’s like a bunch of guys who all got together and planned it for the day off of work.
Then it’s rainy and windy with huge waves, so instead of rescheduling, they go out.
Terrible decision, nobody wants to be batted around by those waves for very long.
Wouldn't want to have to rely on the beach patrol.
Your videos are a true cinematic experience! Thank you for your art and talent.😎🚴⭐️
Hey this has probably been asked but what is the water temperature? Is hypothermia a concern when in the water?
Bar crossing in NZ, you are legally required to wear a PFD
WHY?WHY? do these fools think Haulover in a Carnival Ride ???
Simple comment from me, Floridians!
People surf in that slop? Lol and sorry but if you cant handle naviing these conditions, then you shouldn't be operating a vessel.
Your channel is a treasure trove of inspiration. Thank you for your hard work!🤹♥️🥂
Could this guy's voice be any more annoying??!!
then don't watch it! That's how he is, if you don't like it, then leave it. No hate necessary ...
Turn off the sound...mute the commentary...the action explains itself.
