Hey there, thanks for checking the Stacked Golf UA-cam channel! We’re Jon and Ashley, a husband and wife team of amateur golfers looking to share our love of the game with our viewers. Our goal is to inspire more golfers along with people who have never played before to get out on the golf course and have fun regardless of their age, budget, or skill level.
We find all kinds of golf deals at garage sales, thrift store, flea markets, auctions, online marketplaces, and more to show that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to start playing golf or upgrade your current golf bag. Along with our thrifting adventures, we specialize in reviewing the cheapest golf gear, gimmick clubs, As Seen On TV golf clubs, crazy training aids, and more to see if they are worth checking out to improve your golf game. You will also find course vlogs, golf challenges, and budget golf course reviews from our travels. We both love the game of golf and want to share our adventures with you.
Here’s a little about us: While most kids were watching cartoons, Jon was studying the Golf Channel to learn how to play and improve his golf game. He spent most of his childhood on the golf course and loves trying out new golf clubs and gear. Jon also loves to fish and kayak. If he could he would spend all his time on the golf course or catching giant bass.
Ashley is a beginner golfer with no athletic background whatsoever before attempting to pick up the game of golf. Her unnatural ability to read the green has made her a great putter but the rest of the game is still a work in progress and we hope you enjoy watching her improve on the channel. She is also known for finding incredible deals and unique finds both online and at thrift stores and garage sales. Along with golfing and budget shopping she also enjoys trying out and creating new recipes and using Jon as her taste testing guinea pig.

@@StackedGolf can't believe I missed the opportunity to say "hole"-some...it was RIGHT THERE! Keep up the great videos, it is so refreshing to see a young husband/wife couple who enjoy each others company over a common hobby.
So where that ring putter might shine is as a practice tool. Instead of hitting balls with it, put the ball in the ring and then basically “throw” the ball towards the hole. Teaches short backswing and longer follow thru. If your backswing is too long you lose the ball out the back. Trains a nice stroke

i saw comments saying they enjoy the golf course parts of the videos, but i enjoy the thrifting and when u deal w/some colorful characters too, always interesting, and other weird non golf stuff too u see.
I am sure we all would rather see longer videos than short! Ashley with my new saying, "It was not my best shot, and definitely not my worst". Great way to look at things. If John does not put that PureSpin in his bag, he is losing strokes. He stuck that thing near every pin, from the rough, fairway and sand!!

Peter Popp made those Ring Style putters for our Golf Shoppe in Calgary, Alberta. They will pick up the golf ball from the hole without having to bend over. We sold them to a few seniors.

I’m still using my Wilson Chipper my dad got me for my 8th grade graduation in 1981. Love it!!!
I went to Goodwill and found some nice golf clubs.. but a possible good deal was only fair when the worker said they needed to reprice these clubs higher. They quoted seeing higher prices on line and thus believed $30 was justified. (TM RAC 52 wedge) Normal prices were already higher at ~ $5 to $10 for CA area. Then again maybe at $10 this would have been sold long before I got there.

I grew up playing in early ‘80s and my dream wedge then was the Wilson R-90 with the brown shaft. I always wanted one, but never really had the funds to pick one up… I’m curious if you run across those with your pawn shop/thrift shop/garage sale trips?

Pick up the head covers...you can put them on clubs later...makes it worthwhile when you resell and it comes with head covers...imho 😄
I agree but they weren’t in the best condition. The humidity down here destroys head covers and grips really quickly unfortunately
I can say with complete confidence that hitting a train with a golf ball is a very scary experience. Hit just above where the driver was sitting!

I found some great clubs at Goodwill that hadn't been processed. I was told to come back the next day and they'd put them out. I went back only to find that someone sold the clubs not long after I'd asked about them the first time. That XR will probably be put out within a day or two and not weeks.

I have that same club a 3 hybrid in a manufacturer x stiff shaft 80 grams. and still have my golf pride teams mc4 standard grip in green and gold on that club.

funny, Wilson went with the fat shaft and then at the end of their run Adams went with the skinny shaft. The Adam Blue set had a skinny shaft that supposedly help the head whip around for slower speed swings.
Found a Nike Victory Red 1H to match the wedge that we found on the course last week. Hybrid was $20 at Golf Galaxy in almost new condition

Someone stole my Killer Bee 3-wood out of my garage back in 2006-it was a LONG-hitting club. My buddy, who would later earn his PGA card, used to rib me because of Rocky Thompson’s cheap-looking Killer Bee infomercials. Well, when my buddy had a lot of distance left for his second shot on a par-5, he used to reach in my bag and pull out my Killer Bee 3-wood-and he would smoke it! Too funny! I still play with the Killer Bee 5- and 7-woods-they’re in my bag right now.
My buddy started with a set of killer bees! He used them for a year and just picked up a set of forged Cobra Amps. He has been loving those!
I like the ring putters. As an old guy it's nice not to have to bend down.
