Takeru never could tell what was coming. But he was tough as nails and those body shots really had Superlek in trouble. Great fight between two of the best.

Superlek is really skilled at feinting and evading, and Takeru has very good jabs and lead leg kicks. The speed of those lead leg kicks despite having his left leg constantly hit is outstanding. Amazing fight, great fighters. They were both having fun 👊🏽👊🏽

What is amazing with these elite thai fighters is their ability to stick to their plan, even though it can be as basic as throwing rear leg kicks from the beginning to the end. If they figured that this is the tactic that most likely would lead them to victory, they just do. Awesome.

There hasn't been anything like that in my country for decades. Times have changed. Food is not hard to find. Those fighters just did what they liked.

They really help a lot in a real fight. This fight wouldn't be fair if it was in Muay Thai's rules

(Like you know? he needed to get close to punch) Every time he did that he got low kicks from Superlek. It’s all about method to cross that distance man and he couldn’t get close to his opponent.

Will go down as one of the greatest bouts in history. I was literally standing up while watching this live. It was absolutely insane. I truly hope both of them were paid generously. Not giving Takeru a bonus too at the end was heartbreaking but that might be included in his purse.

@@whatilearnttoday5295 he had good defense that most ppl missed. alot of the knees in the clinch didnt even land if u watch closely. takeru blocked them with his forearm. and he does have head movement, its just not that big a part of his style. his footwork is definitely elite as well based on how he managed to get superlek who is also great at moving away, cornered multiple times, and especially in the 5th round, takeru really pieced him up with his footwork which led to 3 big right straights. this fight was closer than most thought. ofc the behind the scenes shenanigans of ONE needs its own conversation.

Knee to the forearm like that was really hurt and shut down the punch’s power. The damage to Takeru’s leg affect all the fight game. Takeru needs a better game plan and greater defense skill if there will be rematched again.

However, personally, I often wake up after nights filled with nightmares, grappling with self-inflicted emotional wounds and internal battles, with no one around to lend support. It becomes disheartening as I struggle to progress or anticipate a brighter future. I'm aware that I deserve a better tomorrow, but the journey towards it seems elusive.
Takeru proved himself to be a beast and applying pressure in this fight... I really wish we could have seen him vs Rodtang

Perhaps I'm missing something here, but why are we shown highlights before the fights in these videos? From my perspective, it just lessens the experience, especially If you haven't already seen the fight and don't know the results.
I've been really enjoying One Championship since first watching it maybe 3 years ago. I've watched a ton of videos, watched most of the events since then, subscribed to Prime to watch the events there, I've watched every Friday Fights since the start , I've purchased some ppv events (wasn't able for this one) and I've always been a bit miffed by these highlights at the start of the fight videos.
I've also been avoiding The One UA-cam page, as the titles of some videos, especially the shorts are often spoiling the results of the fights, which is annoying when you can't always watch the events as they happen (time zone differences).
Sorry for ranting, and it spite of these slight annoyances, I'm still very much enjoying One Championship.
