I met Superlek today. I was jogging with my kids. He was cooling down with his team. I told my daughter "That is a great champion". One of the crew turned to me and said "This is a champion. You want a photo?" I said no I respect his privacy. I then decided to say "Hello Superlek" He turned to me bowing to show respect and wai 🙏 "Sawaddee krab" He even said in a respectful tone.

I watch this at least once week. Cannot get enough of it! Love to watch how a boring puncher get destroyed. If I want to see proper punching, I watch boxing. MT is about the 8 limbs and Superlek teached him a perfect lesson!

Yeah nearly all the big strong western fighters spam power punches against Thai fighters, Superlek shows how to counter it. He was striking with his elbows before Tagir could even get his punches off. Shut him down completely, as an elbow at close range is faster than any punch.

@@steven401ytx Not true. I've watched countless of Lethwei fights, and it's super boring. They only throw hands without any skill, and they almost never throw kicks, knees, or elbows. I've watched way more brutal bloody fights and KO's in MT fights than in Lethwei fights.

It's been taught in ages that a fighter should use elbows to counter and defeat hard hit boxers. But many Thai fighters of this era didn't learn their techniques properly so they often lost to Farang hard hitters. Superlek is mastering his techniques good.

Tagir said before the fight that Superlek is just a step stone for him to get rematch with Rodtang.
That triggered Superlek so he announced that he will give Tagir some face scars and he really tried to do so from the beginning of the match.

one is great and all, but many fights look like total mismatches. after he got picked apart by rodtang like that, it was obvious that khalilov didn't have anything for superlek. and unfortunately, superlek didn't even make weight, so khalilov's disadvantage was even bigger. nevertheless - respect to khalilov; he did what he could.

@@Suplex479 nah, first fight at ONE he won sure. But the last one was only 3 rounds and super close. It went to Superlek because of the accumulated damage on Panpayaks lead leg. They both nullify each other
