10:09 Hey brother, enjoyed your video. My guess is that the delay in STL, was due to a mechanical issue with the aircraft. I used to handle NK in EWR, when I worked for AC in the early days of NK's operations. Back then, they were flying 30 year old DC-9's that would break down almost on a daily basis, and would create absolute havoc for our operation, as we only had 2 gates. Very often we would have to have the Spirit aircraft removed from the gate, if it was on a mechanical delay, to accommodate our aircraft, as we operated more flights at the time. They had a policy where they would never cancel a flight, so 5 hour delays were common back then. Don't know if they have the same police today , but they've come a long way since then with the Airbuses.
I remember flying on my one and only spirit flight in 2011 with the barking plane. I remember imagining that they were like turning the ignition key and trying to get the engine to turn over.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣We made it… but never again!!!! Once on Spirit was enough🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Exact same thing happened to me lol. I was flying DEN-BZN at a window seat on a UA B738 and was recording a trip report on it, but I ended up falling asleep and waking up as soon as we touched down. Luckily I also did the opposite route.
I flew on a Spirit A319 from IND to MCO last February. It was my first and only time flying Spirit, and it was my very first time flying on an Airbus (I had only flown on some Boeing 737s and ERJ 145s before that trip). I had no idea they were becoming rare, which is a shame because it’s a very nice plane.
My very first flight on Spirit was an A319 back in 2013 when they had the old gray livery on it. Kind of sad to see them go, however every flight I’ve been on since then has always been an A321.
Well done video and for NK they should have gotten A319neo to replace their aging A319-131s/A319-132s. Cons of flying Spirit airlines the cramped seat something that's also seen with the Legacy carriers B737s. In east Asia NK A319 seat leg room is seen with LCCs and some legacy carriers notably PR with Hong Kongers Taiwanese and Singaporeans usually ranking it last.
Hhhh Airbus barking became the meme in the end, the budget airlines just shocked me, one ticket was 23 dollars, othercarriesy 73 dollars?! Btw good job doing yr work during the time of lay-out.
Not sure if anyone else has commented about this but..... you first mentioned how clean the plane was inside but I'm wondering what's up with those blood spatter stains on the seat-back in front of you 😂😂 Also never knew about the "barking" A319.... sounds like I'm laying down getting an MRI 😂😂
I will ONLY fly US based ULCC if nonstop. And TBH I really gave up. AA, Delta, primarily United if necessary even if it is booked basic economy. The US airlines I allow myself to fly have diminished substantially. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, that’s really cool that Spirit still has the old logo on the interior. I remember flying the A319 in grayscale back in like 2013. Great report of this now rare aircraft!

Damn, you did not even mention the gelato machine at MCO's UC!
That was crazy, I never got around to filming it
Of course we enjoyed your vid. So sorry you had such a delay.

Very detailed video, nice!! 🎉
Good video man. As always

What will spirit be replacing the A319's with? Good video by the way, 👍🏾
Spirit: we will get you to your destination quick a be cheaply. Eventually…
Better late and alive than never and dead. Boeing have been crapburger lately.

Gonna be sad to see them go, flown on my fare share of them
Remember seeing the pixel ones in STT!
What airline are you flying to Chicago?
Spirit as well

first!!!
that $50 voucher is basically equal to nothing, it only covers the fare portion and it must be applied weeks in advance!
I used it towards a new booking and it only covered $32 or so 😂

Orlando and their spider web airport.
Do you actually talk like that? But why show other aircraft and airlines? You are the prefect example of UA-cam bullcrap!
