This video is incredible. This is exactly what I was looking for. True comparison. Very informative and would make anyone feel more comfortable about choosing any transportation choice. 👏👏
Private car/black car services are GREAT, and are cheaper than Mears Express, with better service (like the grocery stop on the way to your hotel. You could also have your groceries delivered to your hotel, obviously), with much better times. The private cars always arrive early at the airport and at the hotel. They are always waiting for me, never the other way around, even if my flight is early. You can also schedule your hotel pickup much closer to your flight departure. I didn't hear you mention pricing for rideshare. Uber/Lyft are $30-$50 each way, depending on congestion pricing and the waits are short, like you would expect.
@@Benasboysandgirl we rented a Tesla 3 for 14 days and it was about $80 + taxes/fees per day. The car was waiting for us in the MCO garage when we landed. The owner specifies if they are able to include airport pickup or not so watch out for that. You just get your bags, walk to where the car is (they provide pictures and instructions to find it), take photos of the car prior to leaving get in and go (some cars have the remote unlock functionality). It’s awesome.
@@drschultz Thanks! We used Turo in LA last summer to rent a cheap old car but it was offsite and no big deal for the two of us to Lyft there. Our Disney trips tend to be our whole family of 7 so we’d definitely need the car onsite.
That was great! Loved to hear from all 4 of you! We used Quicksilver on our last trip. We are a family of 7 so it was the most cost effective way to go. I’m still mourning the loss of the included Magical Express but I can’t deny that the private car service was quick, pleasant and efficient.
Is the mears Bus any cheaper than the mears standard shuttle ? Or is that booked differently somehow? Or is it a walk up ? 😅 Sorry just a little confused. But I did love how you all did the full experience separately. Great video.
It sounded to me like its completely random which one you get. "You will not know ahead of time if you need a car seat for the shuttle van or if you will be placed on a shuttle bus."
this is super helpful, thank you! i'm going back to wdw for the second time since they got rid of magical express. last time was a last minute trip and we used uber to/from the airport. this time i'm trying to plan it out better and look at all the options. heavily considering mears connect or sunshine flyer
So what happens if you are travelling with a young 2 year old would you be denied boarding on the van since they don’t have a car seat? Bringing a car seat won’t be an option for us as we would travelling over from Europe
I know this is a month old, hoping I get a answer from someone haha. What transportation is ideal if your scheduled flight keeps making time changes? Meers on there site clearly says they don't check for delays or changes when you book with them. Sunshine Flyer doesn't say anything of the matter or in there FAQ. If anyone can help, be much appreciated 👍.
I would use a private car service. The driver checks your flight information and directly checks/texts with you to confirm pickup times. We used Tiffany Town Car mid-September and had great service.
I need help guys, we are family of 4 try to find the best transportation with kids 4 and 8 from airport to Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Friends told me to make reservations but I want to make sure seem to ad up by bus and has to wait.
@@CUTravel1st my recent trip I used Lyft, got a $10 discount for my ride so it was $23. This was on a Friday afternoon. Hopefully that gives you an idea
That’s because that’s who Disney used to operate the busses. Disney never owned magical express and because of a battle over cost Disney dumped them so then they rebranded the buses to offer the same services that is now paid for by the guest.
Isn't happening at all 🤷♂️ Also the plan was from Orlando MCO to Disney Springs which you have to jump on the bus to go to your resort so it's more time than you thinking. Imagine Coming from the airport on a train with 3 kids plus loggage and your flight being delayed to jump on a bus at Disney Springs and go to your resort no no way.
Why would anyone do mears express instead of just Uber/Lyft? You won’t share it with anyone, it’ll go directly where you want, and it’s like over $100 cheaper 🤔
The local bus, the lynx goes near there and only cost about two dollars and the twice that I took it was just on time. If you don’t want to use an app, you can also pay cash.
Sunshine flyer was the absolute worst experience of our Disney trip. Our family (myself, my wife, toddler age three, and toddler age two) just returned from our trip yesterday. We booked with the new sunshine flyer direct, private with the luxury suv’s. This was the most expensive option for us with the expectation of the highest service. First the driver was late for pick up due to forgetting one of the two toddler seats requested. Second the driver did not want to meet us at baggage claim and help with luggage to vehicle as part of accommodations when booking this service. Three the child seats did not have seat belts belted in at all in order to properly secure the seats. Fourth the driver then argued with me about proper install stating “the rear addition safety strap is all that is needed and seat belts are not required for proper install” which is incorrect for any and all forward facing car seats that I have ever experienced as well as for the model that was provided that day. Fifth I properly installed both forward facing car seat myself using both the seat belt as well as the additional behind the seat anchor tether. Sixth driver provided was not direct employee of sunshine flyer he was a sub contracted contractor according to him. He assumed we had booked through some company that we had never heard of which seamed a little shady. Seventh the driver for the return trip to airport arrived with neither of the two forward facing toddler seats. He then checked and confirmed he was supposed to have two forward facing car seats and his company just did not provide them to him. Eighth this same driver asked if I could just ride in the backseat and hold on to my child. I was shocked by this comment and declined due to this being unsafe nor legal. Ninth we are now stranded at wilderness lodge with no last minute way of booking any service that had two forward facing toddler seats. Tenth when I called customer service for company with the issue at hand they stated no one was available authority to approve any means of additional help with this situation. Eleventh let down in service was a direct cause for my family to miss our return flight home. Twelfth we had to commute in the most disgusting available cab with toddler seats to the airport. Thirteenth we choose to rebook the next day for guaranteed seats on the most comparable flight of the same time for traveling with two toddlers and now the customer service manager is refusing to reimburse my family for the three addition expenses of two trips between airport and the one extra night at a hotel not including food or drinks. Fourteenth this same manager had the audacity to make a claim that we were asking for reimbursement for an extra day in Orlando but in reality this was nothing more than a parents nightmare finding out they are now stranded without a guaranteed way home as well as the financial burden associated with the outrageous pricing of replacement plane tickets due to the direct delay caused by this break in agreement of service right before departure. As of now I had to go as far as contacting the vice president of the company today and will hope to find a better resolution tomorrow. At bare minimum I hope to break even from the financial damages caused by this situation. This is to help prevent any person or family from being caught in this same predicament. Hopefully this can be a learning experience for the company to help provide the best possible service.
Absolutely horrendous and definitely the last thing any family needs on vacation. I hope things work out on getting your money back. You are certainly due a refund they did not provide the full service you paid for
at this moment that will be talking with the baggage claim not give out any of ride sharing because we dont want all of our employes do at all in thgeir jobs if they do they will be in trouble

We’ve used Turo our last couple trip’s and it’s awesome for getting cool car options and getting through the airport quickly

I was looking online at their pricing. We have 8 people (4 kids). Was their quoted pricing per person or for the group total?

There’s one that you didn’t compare, the local bus for about two dollars.
I wrote it twice to see road and it always came right on time then again there was only one or two of me.

Everybody knows that wasn’t a Cadillac, right?
Info on prices wasn’t great in this vid
Not a Cadillac Escalade
I would be furious if I payed express and then find out that I have a stop before me. That’s very unprofessional and I would ask for a refound.
We did ask. Still awaiting a response.
@@wdwprepschool can we have a feedback on that? Thank you! I'm very curious about it :)

Sorry I'm a car guy, but the Quicksilver service was driving a Chevy Suburban. The "bow tie" logo is a Chevy NOT a Cadillac.
