Kind of a niche use boot, not a do all, but is very nice looking, and great for places that have mild winters with little to no ice to ski on with that tread.
Tremendous attention to detail, fit and finish.
Thanks for showing it.
Imagine if someone made a Chelsea boot with a trail tread. Would be killer, ha!
Funny coincidence, I just came across these this week and ordered them from a local barefoot shop. And then immediately returned them, both because of the pressure I felt on the top of my foot as well as the complete lack of grip on even slightly wet surfaces. The rubber is super soft and will probably be grippy in cold, dry environments, but here in the Netherlands it's gonna be a recipe for falling on your face. 😅 Real shame, too, because these look absolutely gorgeous.
Interesting, I found the rubber to be pretty hard compared to other brands, but yea, it's a casual sole meant for city walking.
Hi Andrew. I purchased these Chelsea boots after watching your video, and I must say, I really love the look and feel. I'd love to get your advice on sizing. I ordered both size 46 and 47, and I'm having a hard time deciding between the two. The 46 fits securely and snugly, with my toe touching the front. On the other hand, the 47 is a bit roomier so theres ample space all around.
As this is only my second pair of Chelsea shoes (and I barely wore my first pair since they weren't barefoot shoes), I'd appreciate any guidance on how you chose the right size for yourself. Just FYI that I'm tried them with both winter socks and regular socks it feels the same either way
Hey Gautam, sounds like the 47 is the better pick. Usually I leave about a 1/2 to a full thumbnail's space at the end. If your toe's touching, that's probably too short, but it's up to you in terms of what feels best. Love the Uma's style too, enjoy!
@@AndrewFolts Thanks for your reply. I think you’re right. 47 it is!
Great looking boot. Thanks! Will this be a good boot for all kind of weather? Or a winter only?
It's thin enough to work up to 50-60 degrees but would start to get hot above 70 degrees because of the wool lining.
@@AndrewFolts Thanks! Love your reviews
Love the video! What kind of wax do you use for your leather boots?
Any beeswax product with all-natural ingredients works fine. I have a container of LL Bean wax I've been using. The liquid sprays like what Vivobarefoot sprays go on a bit clearer if you want to avoid changing the color as much as possible: bit.ly/3QU7EeV
Nive video, please do a review of Be Lenka Ranger 2.0 as well)))
Totally, it's on my list for early spring!
