what do you think about chlorophyte mele armor? By test, in crit build it has more dps than others melee armours, in 1.4.1 i done testing. What do you think about it in 1.4.4?
Another thing that I might be the one to notice is that it's similar to Deerclops' mask, but it's a pre-hardmode item which is kinda do its job better imo
@@AsPlayBoxYou mean the bone mask, and I’d say for the stage you get it which is late pre-hardmode it’s not that good considering it only does 30~ damage every hit
Thinking about it, it is actually fitting that you can AFK farm with a plant based equipment (the spore sac and chlorophyte armor are vegetal), because much like a plant, you don't have to move to do your job
very clunky that one though. like seriously. I wish they'd improve the ai even if it causes the damage to fall a bit. it misses zombies from when the last time I used it
@@JALAL919 right?? very underwhelming. in a way, almost useless. doesn't even function properly. but it is so damn cool not gonna lie😂. those dark purple aura claws are just 👌✨
This item is key for one of my favorite custom builds, the Anti-Summoner. I use the spore sac, the bone helm, the bone glove, and the passive gel thrower from Queen slime. Toss on some chloro armor, and you become the immoveable wall, the Anti-Summoner.
I call it my "Builder Build" Minions block my placement and work, but I like to just keep the whole stack of "anti minions" and a single stardust cell, plus usually the nebula set so I don't have to worry about healing from the random scratch damage
Definitely one of the best accessories you can get from a boss. I always use this accessory whenever I'm building stuff in-game, it helps with dealing those pesky enemies spawning in
I use it so much for like a fishing load out bc it does such a good job of keeping enemies away and you won't have to interrupt your fishing by switching to a weapon. And it allows you to be safe wearing the low-defense angler armor bc most of the enemies won't get to you.
it's not only good for AFK, but for setting up against a boss (although Golem does not need it). Generate some spores and after you start moving, switch the accesories. I am so glad any accesories can be stored on vanity again, as that was one of the worst removed features in 1.4 release.
i’ve actually never tried this accessory and had no idea what it actually did until now. I was gaslighted into thinking it sucked a long time ago and now i’m not happy. thanks for showing me the light
This item is perfect for the stage of progression it’s found in, post plantera has the frost and pumpkin moon events with numerous grounded enemies, the dungeon with close quarters chokepoints tiles everywhere and background walls, and the temple which is the same but with a more linear enemy movement
This thing is actually cracked it might seem like a bonus and not so much needed accessory but it actually handles enemies really well when I’m building and really did something against a corrupt mimic thank you for making a video on this
I think the big problem this thing has is it's lack of class synergy. That doesn't make it bad, it just explains why so many people over look it. People would rather increase their primary damage dealer than use passive damage.
lets not forget post plantera is the stage of the game that has like genuinely so many new amazing accs so tis overshadowed, i mean like seriously u get so many stuff from the post plantera dungeon and with the frost and pumpkin moon it just makes it forgetble
i’ve used it in my most recent master mode playthrough for a good while, and i’ve found that the immunity frames enemies get from the spores interferes with your weapons’ i-frames, resulting in enemies taking less damage than expected
when i play terraria for the first time. i didn't know that Shield of Cthulhu or any expert drop was not available in classic (because i play classic mode in my first play through) and also i only know that Shield of Cthulhu is the only boss accessories that exist then.
Alot of people dont use chloraphyte armour because you often need to save your bars to craft turtle/shroomite/spectre armour, and it took me way to long to realise you can just shimmer your armour when its time to upgrade
It is for sure There's some expert items that i really love to use but in the end i just can't use 😭 Like the Royal Gel Makes jungle exploration waaaaay easier And of course, getting stings is easier as well
U can also use the megashark as an alternate to the Uzi (for ranged users). If you have the Unicorn Mount killing Plantera would be even easier as long as there's a wide tunnel you can run straight into while you're grinding Plantera's health in second phase. Works everytime.
I genuinely didn’t know that it homed onto targets after beating Plantera more than 30 times at this point and dropping over 6 The Axes… this is honestly a game changer 😂
I did a run with the True Summoner class, you don't use minions or whips, but items that you invoke around you to protect you, spells and etc, like the Deerclops skull, This accessory from Plantera and Queen Slime. It was very difficult but the final build was pretty cool, it's fun but the defense is average and the damage is extremely low. It's worth it if you have enough sanity
Those mid-air instant momentum changes can make dodging things 100x easier. One of my favorite accessories in the entire game and a must have for post-EoC all the way to post-WoF and beyond.
As a avid player who tends to ignore weak enemies when building. Having a spore sac to provide a swarm of floating gas bombs watching your back is a must. That much needed buff was what it really kept it from being fully realised. Its utterly lethal and I love it. Oh and it poisons enemies too. Big plus
No expert mode drop will ever surpass the shield of Cthulhu. It's accessible from pretty much the start of the game, and it's i-frames make it viable all the way to duke fishron.
Also the golem accessory is often overlooked. It might be less versatile then other options during that stage of the game, but it is always useful to carry it in your inventory for fast heals without loosing extra potions when you are exploring
I guess it's more of a farming item and less something that you would use if you somewhat rush through the game without much farming, yet I wanna try it out the next time since I did not knew it got better. I just realized it propably makes for an excellent temple run defense
i LOVE the spore sack. i use it on every playthrough it’s ridiculously effective for crowd control and a must have item for farming. the only downside i can think of is that you can’t turn them off without taking the item off 🔥
Important Fact: Remember that 1.4.4 added the Cursed Dungeon Walls, you get them by crafting normal dungeon walls and tossing the walls to the shimmer, so you can build an artificial Dungeon Biome underground (with traps, lava, etc...) and this accessory will not only help to deal more damage in general, but it will also protect you from enemies that teleport or go through walls.
Finally, I feel like so many people sleep on this item The recent 1.4.4 buffs have been great for it too Though, pre-1.4.4 Spore Sac was also crazy good with Titanium Armor (before the set bonus was given a shard rate cap) when facetanking, especially because the projectiles use local s It is a REALLY good accessory to just have and makes things like AFKing (as Said in the video) and fishing a lot smoother, and is a great addition to events and Golem
*Sockrteez PLEASE make a video on Venom Dart Traps!* this traps were added in 1.4.4, you craft them with Spider Fangs and a normal Dart Trap. What makes it amazing it's that inflicts "Acid Venom", so you can REALLY make the better AFK Farm with lava before you get the traps from the Jungle Temple.
usually after plantera you don't have to farm something, since a lot of players just rush for pillar weapons. Most of farming is on the early hardmode, post plantera farming is maybe for biome keys or money, plus some enemies will not allow you to stand, summons just doing this more effective on that stage of game
I don't think its talked about as much as it deserves as post-plantera game is a joke. Whilst PHM can take upwards of 20 hours if you play casually, and up to post-mech can take another 10-ish hours, plantera to moon lord can be done in 30mins-an hour. So most weapons/equipment obtained at this point in progression are deemed mostly obsolete, which I think needs a massive re-work. Whether this is to make the jungle temple more difficult/make golem's spawn require something other than a cell easily obtained by a chest/lizhard, or a cultist rework, something needs to change. I like to play the harder difficulty seeds in Master Mode, so I can spend over 50 hours in my world PHM gearing, becoming OP and making my world as functional as possible. In early HM, its nice to see the difficulty re-ramped to a similar pace as the beginning of the game. However, after mech bosses it all becomes a game of progression and gives less non-progression options, and is by far my least favourite part of the game.
Had a friend go afk the jungle in the middle of our badly made area (mobs still spammed rather commonly) with the spore sack. Was gone a good 20 minutes, came back to literal carnage around them and basically full health.
I mainly use the spore sac in tandem with a fishing setup or if I want to farm, since it kinda just kills crap around you, allowing you to focus on fishing, as well as squeeze every bit of value out of crate potions (since you don't need to divert your attention whatsoever to kill approaching enemies)
Okay my favourite Terraria build is the Chaos build where you equip only things that spawn additional offensive projectiles. Royal Gelatine, Bone Glove, Spore Sac, the one from Deerclops who's name i've forgotten, but you get the idea. Just walk into a crowd of enemies and do nothing and watch them all perish.
Venom staff, rainbow rod, spirit flame, and golden shower/cursed flames. Use these weapons for mage plantera. Anytime you just have to dodge and just get rid of some of his extra mouths use the spirit flame, otherwise use venom staff and the rainbow rod depending on how good your aim is. Tomes are for extra damage.
I've always thought spore sac is great but this really put it in perspective for me, I'd argue shield of cthulhu is superior since that goes from like the first boss all the way to moon lord for me if I can't be bothered to farm master ninja gear but this is a pretty good expert drop.
I am not gonna lie, this video actually kinda make me wanna go try out terraria again, I haven't played the game for more than a year now, I think it would be really fun to do a playthrough with some underrated items
Always heard good things about it, but I've just always prioritized the usual emblem stacking dps build. Had no idea it could be _that_ good, def giving it a try next playthrough.
There's a Deerclops drop that does something similar but, does slightly less damage and no poison. You could also probably add this to an AFK setup pretty easily for some additional damage
Yeah, not even close. The simple fact that the very first boss most people fight in the game gives you a dash immediately makes every other expert mode drop worse, at least if you want to play the game instead of AFK'ing.
Me and my friends just defeated Plantera yesterday, and before this video, I would still use it because of the extra damage and poison. I usually go Range or Mage, but it doesn't matter to me, as a bit of extra damage has saved me multiple times.
I'd say Titanium armor is also viable here, as anything that does get past those spores will get struck by the titanium shards, generated by the spores striking enemies. Titanium armor and blade staff with the right complementary equipment is literally the most power you will ever wield pre-mech.
I love this item! Chlorophyte armor, shiny stone, from expert golem and u got yourself a nice afk setup The nifty thing to complete this loadout is a summoner helm for Chlorophyte set! Hopefully by next update! Also more to summoner choices!😊
I've only seen much use of it in afk farms, preferring fitting movement and class based ones. Usually, boots, wings, shield/ninja set, celestial cuffs, mana cloak and celestial shell (replacing it later with soaring insignia)
As a player that struggled with plantera, I searched up an easy way to beat plantera and an easy arena, I saw this video explaining teleported and I thought “meh I never used these in my life, might as well now. So it explained to make a small arena with teleported and a lil box on either side of your arena(mine was about 50 blocks high and 200 blocks wide) and it said to use a mega shark with cursed flame bullets. It worked surprisingly great (except for the dam hook that grabbed me and the stupid thing plantera shoots. So I had to teleport between teleporters to kill it (this was the first arena I’ve ever built in terraria/my whole life) it took me like 5-10 minutes to kill it
Anytime I play expert or master mode spore sac is a Must have after plantera simply because it's sheer usefulness in crowds or events like martian madness or pillars even for moon lord it's still pretty good
I always thought the spore sac was trash but I didn’t know it got buffed in labor of love. This accessory would work great on an asphalt moon lord arena as it could easily take out the eyes and core
“Nice Green Sac Review” you got me right there, man 😂 Anyways, I use this accessory, during farming, as you showed earlier on! It makes farming SO EASY!
Damn I wish I knew about this item before I farmed for all the banners. R.I.P my wrist

I wouldn't say this is the best drop, that honor going to the Worm Scarf, but that aside, this is one of the best drops indeed
@exquisicy it nullifies almost a fifth of all incoming damage. It's really good if you look at the numbers, especially against high damage attacks
It's overlooked due to being obtained so late, there are a lot of good accessories post plantera so the spore sac gets usually trashed
It also used to be really really bad prebuff so that reputation stuck
its so insanely good for the post plantera dungeon tho
I trash it
Another thing that I might be the one to notice is that it's similar to Deerclops' mask, but it's a pre-hardmode item which is kinda do its job better imo

My friends absolutely love these, especially when they stay in the AFK farm I made for them
Finally someone is talking about this item. If you use one of your loadouts for strictly mining, this is a must have to keep yourself safe
I use it so much for like a fishing load out bc it does such a good job of keeping enemies away and you won't have to interrupt your fishing by switching to a weapon. And it allows you to be safe wearing the low-defense angler armor bc most of the enemies won't get to you.

Spore Sac is the kind of item where, even if I don't have an accessory slot to spare, I will carry it with me because it is just that good
I love using sentries to kill enemies beyond walls I haven't gone through yet and the radiant damage from spores makes it that much more effective
oh yeah i used this a lot, very helpful for farming and going to the dungeon or temple
