"Could not be simpler" is a perfect description for assembling the Rat.
Best part of Christmas was assembling all the gijoe vehicles
You know this!!
Yeah that was great! I would enjoy trying to come up with a good story too!
I have a pretty good name for this; the happy meal mc do rat.
seriously, this looks like a mc donalds toy.
and the rat has to be the one who decided that it was ok to sell this without a hull.
in my opinion, it s best to pay more and have a decent vehicle.
while this was no vehicle I tried to get at the time, I never expected it to be that cheap.
this is one case where you get a piece just to have your collection whole,
but hide it in a dark corner somewhere.
good show HCC!
Wow it's like one of those cheap late 70s Mego Buck Rogers vehicles. How did Hasbro go from the glory of the 80s vehicles to this
I had this. It was the last GI Joe toy I bought. It was a complete failure in my eyes. Oh, you've got the wheels wrong. The set with the grid cross thing on the outsides goes in front, it's supposed to spin the saw blades... action feature!
I had one of these as a kid. Loved it.
HCC I think you got the wheels the wrong way around, great video as always.
Cobraaaaaa!
I kinda like it. It's an army builder. Cheap, easy to put together, and if it gets battle damage, all the better. If they found a way to put some foot pegs on it so it could carry some troops, it would have been better.
Yeah I agree, it can have use that way for sure. I would have liked to see it re-released in different colors to see if that would help its visual appeal at all. I army build Cobra Buzz Bores because they are burrowing, circular saw-blade vehicles with machine guns and missiles- if one of them was chasing you down that would be pretty terrifying.
I got this for one of my birthdays was so disappointed Hasbro really cut corners
Wow this little shell vehicle is gonna take a beating when you go into detail.
It's not basically hollow....it just is hollow.... much like the feeling I got when getting this as a kid.
I think the word "eyesore" applies nicely. Mine are certainly aching. I do like those high contrast green Cobra symbols like eyes, but I have never been a fan of stickers as placeholder for real detail.
I absolutely love the RAT man :D was the one vehicle that I begged my mom to have but wouldn't have it. I got it in college around 2011 :D I still have to put the sticker on mine :D great video brother
You know a little touch up paint, and some added battle damage, and that Rat would look pretty cool! Great video Hoodie! see you next time! COBBRRAAAAAA!!!
They spared no expense in the 90s. Any plans on doing a collection update?
Great video. I would be interested in the box if you decide to get rid of it.
excelente incriveu;
Yikes, Cobra sure became a shell of its former self producing that, LOL, The review should be a fun watch:)
i think you got the wheels on backwards. the ones you put on the back have paddles that I think are supposed to spin the front blades
Big fan of the channel but I have agree you got the wheels misplaced buddy. ;-)
It's like buying a pair of shoes and discovering they don't have soles. You should've done the 'will it float' test and just sent it to a watery grave.
I'll bet if you put those back wheels on the front it will make the saw blades spin when it rolls.
nice unboxing Commander, but it seems you have the 1991 product catalog instead of the 1992 catalog
Hasbro should've used maroon red instead of bright red like the Cobra Imp. All the details are washed out.
Swap the Red/Black, and it might not look soooooo horrible. Also...the lack of hull makes it really sucktastic.
I always thought this was one of the worst vehicles. Just so bland.
Aside from being one color of somewhat flimsy plastic, I always thought this was a fun little vehicle. If it had been made a few years earlier, when they were still putting more effort into the vehicles, it might have been something really special. (with a few more pieces to make it more substantial, some color interest and vinyl stickers)
It kind of looks like Hasbro had a ton of bath toys they didn't know what to do with, so they made them into THIS! Thanks as always for sharing with us bud! Do you plan on holding onto every piece you get for your reviews, or are there some items you plan on releasing back into the wild?lol
The Rat seems to be very disappointing. There is too much use of red and could've used some gray on it. It looks like it won't float at all for an amphibious themed vehicle.
“It seem’s like it’s missing something.” Haha! Nope! The painful death of our once great G.I. Joe.
I DID notice how cheap HASBRO was getting in the early 90s... 😕
The Cobra Rat is pretty bad but this is even worse: www.actiontoys.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/GIV89-5LWB.JPG

Crappy toy, I want my money back! Great review though!
If you squint, it kind of looks like a red rat with green eyes and a rocket pack.
This is a sad vehicle by GI Joe standards.
Thats one of the worst GiJoe vehicles ever...wheels and no hull?
A hovercraft? Really? A G.I.JOE KILLER W.H.A.L.E. it is NOT!
