I think you are exactly right when you say mother nature and your animal know best. I sometimes worry about one of my turtles, but I figure that he probably knows what he wants or needs more than me.
    Great video as always.

Jerry is a beautiful snake, but I know a ball python would not be the right snake for me.

I enjoyed your presentation. I tried out a BP after raising two boas, but it didn't work out. He stayed hidden and wouldn't eat so I gave him back. I couldn't justify a rat giving up its life and then the snake refusing to consume it. That's not nature taking its course. Also, I'm not sure about the bioactive enclosure. It seems akin to digging a hole in the backyard for your dog to live in. I don't mean that as a criticism because it's apparent that you care very much for your animals.

The bioactive thing was a bit much for me to get used to, but if it’s a good working system it does stay cleaner then what I could do. Most of the time I don’t spot clean any poop because the bugs and things eat it before I even get to it.

I’ve noticed mine will prefer sleeping with me and not toss around her enclosure

@@WonderfulWorldReptilesI let her out of her cage from time to time and sometimes I fall asleep and she’ll just stay next to my arm or in between my legs at night during the day I won’t do that since she gets a bit curious and wonders off

What is the size of the enclosure? Although it ends up spending more money, you might need to experiment with different wattages of bulbs. If your Che isn’t getting it warm enough try the higher wattage one. Use an infrared temperature gun to check the temps. Just be careful with the highest wattage bulbs not to make it too hot. Too hot is worse than too cold. In my boa constrictors cage it was a little tricky. I finally got it right by using two ceramic heat emitters. I would also use a respected brand and avoid the cheaper off brands that you can find on Amazon. Hope that helps. You could also try creating a ledge or raised platform to brings the basking spot a little closer to the Che. Hope that helps.
