I’m so happy to find your channel! Thank you so much for the wonderful content. This is the Camino I would like to do. I am almost 60 and a woman, and it would be my first Camino, so I’m not really sure if this is the best choice for me. I would like to go in April
Dear Rolf, thank you so much for your videos and guides of the Caminos! Very inspiring and very useful! Used the guide during the planning of my small Camino Sanabres from Ourense to Santiago de Compostela this November! It was very very cool!
Glad to hear you like the video and guide. I have now added a chat bot that can answer most any Camino question to my site even fromwhatsapp. The link is in the description or just go to www.rolfscaminos.com
Fantastic video, thank you so much, it really brings back memories of when I did it...memories which never fade. Very well-paced and edited video, I must say, good work! Un saludo desde Sevilla!
I also stayed in the same albergue in A Laxe and Ponte Ulla when I walked the Invierno last year. Although my original plan for my very first Camino was the Via della Plata, I couldn't do it due to time and danger (high temperatures in summer). This year I just finished the Primitivo up to Fisterra in 16 days.
Salut ! Just finished your 1st one and jumped to this one… Very very nicely done… your musical tastes are awesome. I discover all your amazing work about all those Camino you did… Again, Very very nicely done… You are a real blessing.. Ciao !
Congrats on your Camino and the video! I will be doing the Sanabrés late in Aug and early September. This will be my sixth Camino (plus a pilgrimage on the Via Francigena in Italy). Regarding the Sanabrés, I wonder how many pilgrims you met before reaching the 100 km mark to Santiago. From the video, it seems to me there were very few people (even taking into account the fact that you must have been walking in late autumn or even winter). On the Galician albergues I have to say the Xunta has made a very good job modernizing and upgrading them, you might have seen them some ten years ago!
I’m so enjoying your Camino videos,me and my husband just came back from Camino ingles and muxia which makes it our 5th Camino,Looking forward for next year and still deciding between primitivo and Sanabres, for this one do you have to book the albergues in advance or just show up that day?we wanted to do it on ,ore cooler months maybe between may or June.
Hello, last spring I did the Primitivo trail . Next spring I'm debating between Portuguese or Sanabres. I have almost discarded Portuguese because I have seen that there is a lot of asphalt and people. Is there much asphalt in Sanabrés and services?
The Sanabres is mostly dirt roads or trails. Depending on which Portugués you do. The Coastal from Porto has many boardwalks, the Central has quite a few empty roads.
If you don't like people walking the Caminos why on earth are you choosing to be one of them. More to the point why walk to Santiago where there are thousands of people.
Hi, I am going to walk that via de la Plata, can you tell me which month you walked it? Some guide says march and april are good months....and..........buen camino....thank you.
Hallo Rolf. Ive been watching this Sanabres Camino twice now as im also a solo wsljer and will be walking in May next year. Is it cold in May. Im hoping to walk 13th May 2025. Thank yiu kindly.Kind Camino thoughts.
I have tried many times to undo the twist and for some strange reason it always ends up the same. As it doesn't really bother me and it affect the function I just gave up at some point...

I am glad you liked the video. I actually walked in March - April. There were more pilgrims after Ourense but it was not bad.
@@rolfscaminos Thank you for the quick response. ¡Buen Camino!

I started the Sanabres in spring, the first week of April.

The first half of April...

Hello, I walked in March - April, it was fantastic. I still had some cold days but all in all the weather was fantastic. Buen Camino!
Very well done videos thank you. What month were you walking?
Thank you. I started the second week of March.
Lovely video. Did all the albergues have blankets or were you required a sleeping bag or sheets?
Thank you. Not all albergues had blankets. Most Municipal ones didn't... but some did. Most municipal ones do require sleepingbags.
Okey. Thank you.

Hi there.I walked in early April, so I think it should be ok in May.
Since you left Ourense, it's like you changed season!
Yep... Thankfully I had very good weather!
What date and year did you see the snow on the Camino Sanabres?
It was the last week of March in 2022.
Thank you God bless you!
Hallo,
leider ist der 1. Teil nicht verfügbarn.
Teil 1 ist der Via de la Plata...
I like your videos but it kills me to see your chest strap twisted! Please fix that.
I have tried many times to undo the twist and for some strange reason it always ends up the same. As it doesn't really bother me and it affect the function I just gave up at some point...
