You know? All these protags of the My Lovely series have one thing in common. They lack the strength to move on.
Yeah nothing wrong with having supernatural beings have say in the rule of the kingdom especially if they have literally backstabbed previous leadership. Nothing wrong with making Faustian bargains.

Considering the first game had Faust as a protagonist, yeah, seems like a completely fine idea.

And by the way, do not expect happy endings from these devs.
The devs have a personal vendetta against the feelings of anyone who plays their games.
Must there always be "and they lived happily ever after" endings give me bittersweet, sad, evil endings depending on where the story heads.

Wow! I didn't expect the 'My lovely' series has more.
just so you know, Empress Dowager (pronounced as down - wer - jer) is not her name.
its her title as the blood mother of the heir to the emperor (or in this case the emperor himself). its to differentiate her from the other woman in the harem.
also, its pronounced more like yao - gwai
I'd love to watch a series of this game.
Dowager is pronounced "DAO-a-jur". It just means that the emperor's widowed mother was empress by marriage, not by blood-line.

In Diablo, of the heroes of the 2nd game, the Necromancer is basically one of the only ones who doesn't get screwed over.
