Thats a great idea i just incorporated that into my contracts “ If you dont put plow stakes in the contractor is not liable for any damage to grass or landscape”. 👍👍 thank ya. Happy plowing
Those are both great topics of discussion. I can tell you what we do. For residential properties we take pics of all the driveways that goes into a book. We put a book in the truck(s) prior to each event. All of our contractors have a disclaimer on about snow stakes, we prefer them but as you know some clients don’t. Also, don’t trust Google for pic’s…🤣 Commercial properties, they all get staked whether they want it or not. We don’t give them an option. They go in on November 1st and come out April 30th for commercial and residential properties. I think we all agree the strobes can be obnoxious. I see some trucks and they look like rolling Christmas trees, but I think they have a place based on such as residential or commercial type properties or street plowing. We all know how much the general public never gets behind us when backing up and how they never cut us off..🙄🙄. We also added the plowing to our company liability insurance as well as our vehicle insurance. Anyway I could keep going so I won’t bore you anymore more. Hope we get another storm or two, but not looking good here in Western Mass for that….stay safe all!! Great video and nice work Bennie!!
Could not agree more on all of that! It is very smart to document your properties, before and after. And commercial should definitely always be staked, and definitely a place where you would need a nice strobe….for sure. And I totally agree with them being on town, city and highways rigs. But Even getting stuck behind some those trucks can make you dizzy behind the wheel…🤮 but I think the answer with strobes is definitely having the right balance with safety for the driver, but also not so much lights that it makes it in safe for other drivers. For me, I have had mostly pretty quite driveway routes and just haven’t felt enough need for one. I do like the idea of just an old fashioned dark yellow single strobe and I will probably do that next season. Thanks for the feed back and conversation! 🤙🏻
Dude I’ve got the same problem with strobes… but in mass If you ever get into an accident while plowing one of the first questions they’ll ask if you had a flashing light on your truck I believe it’s required I’m not positive on that though. I went to Napa after I heard that and bought some cheap $20 beacon light you literally can’t even tell it’s on even in the night time. If I were you I’d get it though just to cover your ass incase something ever did happen lots of idiots on the road these days great video always keep up the good content 😃
What tires do you use.For backing up put led back up bulbs in. It lights up everything in reverse. And the snow dog led strobe light works very well. I have it and it doesn’t bother me at all. Try it I’ll see what model I have. I’ll let you know
Hey man, I have some off brand all terrain tires on the truck. Just bought them brand new in the fall because I needed regular season tires. Hoping to get snow tires for next season... I would love to check out any recommendations for a mild light bar for sure!
I have an extremely bright led light bar on my truck but my windows also have 5% tint and even my windshield is tinted so it doesn’t bother me much lol and I plow commercial lots mainly with lots of people up my ass so it’s worth having the extra lighting to make sure people know to watch out
I know that can happen but not yet in the 13 years I have been plowing. Safety and paying attention is #1 to me when I am out. I will be looking into a not so obnoxious light option for next season though...👍
Think your so much for sharing this video with us I really enjoy love watching your videos think you
No problem man, glad you like them!

Yes sir, that is the best way in my opinion ✌
Benny nice smile
it sure is ! 🤣😁
@@TheChristianHardscaper yes sir such a great videos of all your plowing with Benny and Travis great helper’s
@@artyweaver7093 Thank you, they certainly are. Very thankful to have them by my side!
My buddy’s truck has a million lights I don’t mind it tbh because people usually stay out of my way when plowing.
I definitely don't have a problem with people using them, I'm just not a big fan...🤢
@@TheChristianHardscaper that’s understandable
@@Brandon-ky9xz 👍
You should be able to stand an old fashion strobe light that turns in circles on the inside. The new ones are led and much more flashy
Yea, I actually don't mind the old single spinning strobes. they are not nearly as bad as some of the new ones....
I’m with you on the strobes I have the built in ones on my headlights and my tail lights that’s it. Same thing happens to me I get nauseous
Nice, that is actually an option I have been thinking about this winter, I might have to go that route for next season.....✌

Yea, I know I’m risking it not having some kind of safety light… I’m going to figure out something for next season. And thanks for the support!

If I did a lot of commercial, some nice strobes would be a definite… you can’t trust anyone driving in those lots.
Just be careful with that not having lights when plowing the police will give a ticket for not having them on
