Oddly, the Bureau of Labor Statistic's CPI report that just came out today showed that used car prices dropped by 0.8% for the month of August and 10.4% for the year through August which bears no resemblance to the actual market that the rest of us are watching. There's lies, damned lies, and then there are government statistics.

@@Username_CC_ I agree, but you need to explain why the CPI numbers vary so much from all the numbers produced by the private sources that she mentions in the video.

I have a 2016 Jeep Patriot. I know this may seem impossible, but we need sub 20,000 cars. I do not see BEV being voluntarily adopted due to lack of charging infrastructure and price. Shaq made a fortune with basketball shoes, but he went for a lower price and volume. I have seen videos for the Avadi engine. It will not replace an ICE engine, but it can be used to turn a generator in a series hybrid car. Also, use a battery chemistry that doesn't burn or explode. I am waiting for car makers to use safer battery packs. Until that happens I will stick with what I have and wait.

Thanks for another excellent video measuring the pulse of the car market. The craziness of a person signing up to pay $50,000 for a car is insane. Carry On Madame.

Maybe people are beginning to accept the idea of a $50,000 used car. 😹

Wow! That would be sad, People just starting out in life accepting a gouging of $50,0000 bucks is a horrible burden to have on their shoulders!

@@davidshettlesworth1442 I’m with you. My first new vehicle cost $3000 out the door. So imagine how overwhelmed by today’s prices I am.

Because inflation has not stopped. Hence why JPowell needs to keep raising rates.
