So lovely to catch up with you Karen. Your finish is amazing! I couldn’t see where you’d fixed your fabric. I am always so scared of cutting my fabric if I need to cut stitches! Lovely progress on your other pieces. Take care. Happy stitching 😊 x
Thanks Sally. It was a pretty nail-biting moment when I realised i'd cut it. I'm so thankful my repairs worked....I wonder what they'll think in 100 years when it's an antique and they wonder what was going on with the bit of glue LOL. Enjoy your Barbara Anna get-together tonight. Karen x
Lovely to catch up with you! I plan to start the Snowflake Bouquet very soon so keep your eyes peeled! I could not spot that mend so well done! Happy stitching xx
Thanks for hanging out with me Sally, my eyes are peeled LOL. I'm so glad my fabric repair was such a success as you can imagine. Have a lovely weekend. x
Thank you for the mention ❤ How lovely to make the test block it looks gorgeous and very neat! Your QAYG is really pretty. I can't wait until mine is that big, not that I'm in a rush to finish it of course 😂 Have a lovely weekend xx
I was very happy to have been asked to make the test block - not often we get to meet the people who inspire us in person. I'm glad you like my hexie QAYG, I've been working on it since 2023 so definitely a slow process but i've loved that about it. I am having to pick the speed up a little bit with it because i'm hoping to have it ready for my granddaughter to start using soon while she's still a baby/toddler and not when she's a teenager (hee hee). Have a lovely weekend you two love birds (put away your hat Neil). Karen x
I quite like January, too. But I think we're in a minority! Congrats on your two lovely finishes. Love the clever way you fixed the torn fabric.
Yes I agree we are in the January minority :-) Thanks for joining me again while I chat away. I was really pleased the repair to the fabric worked as well as it did because if it hadn't I don't know what I would have tried next. Have you ever had a calamity like that happen?
@ThistleheartCreations No I don't think I have, although that's more by luck than judgement!
Phew
