i attended that concert; it was recorded at lehman college in the bronx on feb 6, 1988; i was shown in this song. the concert was very moving; definitely a memorable experience! It was shown in December 1988 on PBS and then for a few Decembers after that. Even tho I was shown for 5 seconds from the side, people I knew kept telling me that saw me on tv! Not only that, but I was stopped on the street several times by people I didn't know who told me they had seen me on tv! how they recognized me, I'llnever know, but it was fun being a celebrity for a few years around the holidays
@@dallascowboytouchdown4319 They probably did it in February because they were filming it for their PBS Holiday Concert special from this concert that would air on PBS in December of 1988.
@@alonzomourning33 I could understand doing it right after thanksgiving late in November or early December, but I’m not a fan of doing it in February when I’m still healing from that previous Christmas being over
Das ist die wundervollste Version von Silent Night. Vor ca. 40 Jahren hatte ich eine Single von Peter Paul und Mary. Die war soooo schoen. Pure Gaensehaut.
Merry Christmas 2024 For Everyone! 🎈🎼💙💛
Peter Paul & Mary were truly the 3 Wise Men! First fell in love with music and harmony while listening to them in the 60's.
One of the nicest versions of the song i love so much, much nicer with guitars and soft harmonies

If I were doing this Christmas concert, I’d much rather do it some point in December before the 25th.

"Peter, Paul and Mary - Silence Night"
* Silent Night (The English translation of the original German Stille Nacht.)
Interestingly this hymn was specifically written for guitar accompaniment because the organ was broken in the authors church....Mr Gruber...
guitars are more softer than organs
Who’s been cutting onions?
Can someone please tell me why this song didn’t make it to the cd? It is the prettiest song in the concert
If only we did this in Early Lit.
Silent, not Silence lol
