Thanks for the overview and I think this is the first video of a 2024 Lightning. Do you have any initial observations regarding the efficiency given that thermal management for the battery and HVAC are via a heat pump?
I grew so weary of waiting for Ford to build the Maverick Lightning, or, even a Maverick PHEV I started looking closely at the F150 Lightning altho it is a bigger truck than I would like. As it turned out my local Ford dealer had a XLT Lightning on his lot and I was getting real serious about it before my wife reminded me we need to be able to tow this truck behind our motorhome. Oh, Yeah. So I ran out of patience, I have been waiting 2 years, he has a ICE Maverick TREMOR XLT incoming so I put down a deposit and it will be ours when it arrives in a few days. but, DANG! did that 150 Lightning check all my boxes! I SO wanted to go electric! !
I wanted one so bad but had issue with towing range of 100+ miles. Even with the ER battery set. I did not want to stop on the way to the campground. Once there I would charge at the site.
I agree... The Silverado, GMC and Ram are going to eat Fords lunch on EV"s and that's coming from a Ford guy. The added range, especially when towing is a big thing. Even though I could live with the smaller range, the difference in charging speed is what's stopping me. GM's trucks can fast charge almost 3 times faster. You can gain over 100 miles of range after 15min. Even though a gas fill up is still way faster. 100miles in 15min is livable. With the lightning, you are waiting almost 40min for that same 100miles. Ford had a 3 year head start and they knew what their competitors were releasing. The least they could have done was to update the charging speed.to remain competitive. I am not sure how they think they are going to sell these things. They are already blaming it on low EV demand. No Ford... That's not it. I appreciate the review of the Flash... First one I've seen. The things I am disappointed they left out on a 70k truck are, no leather seats, no glass roof, no rear light bar... That confirms the Flash is not for me and that I would still need to jump up to the Lariat high package which is even more money. Although I am very interested in the Lightning and all my future vehicles will be EV's, I am very concerned spending that kind of money for something that is so already outdated and is going to seem unusable and worthless in the used market 5 years down the road when 600-800 mile ranges and 10min charging will be the norm. It looks like this is the first time I may have to jump ship to GM. ick...
I was about to get the Ford this month and then saw the range on the Chevy. As you stated, the Lightning is already outdated. I owned a Rivian and loved it but wrecked it 😢. I have a Tesla S now, but I am really a truck guy. Waiting on Chevy to do more than just promise the Silverado.
I am GM guy. But I can’t convince myself to pay for the price of the Silverado EV. I am going to test drive a Ford. If the Lightning is to my liking I will likely lease a Lariat. If I dislike the vehicle during my test drive I will probably wait a few years for the Silverado EV to hit the used car market and then buy one.
This is one of the best vehicles I have ever owned. Love my lightening! Rides so smooth, so much capability.
Geez man settle down, you sold me! You are an amazing salesman, I wish all ford salesman were as knowledgeable as you
Rod is the best - Thank you for your kind comment! We let him know. More to come!
Best ford salesman I’ve ever seen.
This gentleman is a phenomenal salesman.
We do love Rod! More to come - he is the best!

I’d buy a lightning off this guy. 👍
Great truck Rod. I have 28000 on mine.

Love my 23 lightning but would have been nice to have some of the features on the Flash trim

I'll bet you're either ex-military or Jr. HS teacher :)
Ford is going to have a problem with Chevy Silverado getting 460 miles of range.

We always say go with what you feel is right for you! We love our Brand and can't wait to share more.
But you won’t have access to Tesla super charger stations as with ford.
