Producer made Noel recut all of the drums because he said they weren’t good enough. Noel initially resisted, but agreed in the end.

Someone posted the first ever HFB gig here on youtube and we watched it last night. The video isn't great but it doesn't matter. What a show, he must have felt amazing up there on that stage. His album had only been out a week, but everyone in that audience sang every word to every song he played from it.

This and Everybody's On The Run are probably my favourite of NG's post Oasis stuff, I think. Brilliant tune.

If Dave loved Dead In The Water, he would probably like Alone On The Rope too from NGHFB. It is a less known "B side" track, which sadly he rarely plays live.
One of my favourite post-Oasis songs.

My favourite NGHFB song I think.
Loved the first HFB's album. Had it on in the car for about 6 months when it was released
Oh yes, the first two NGHFB album were amazing. And yeah, Jeremy Stacey was amazing! Got his autograph when they came to NY the first time around :D
Also, this was, I believe, one of 3 videos that are meant to be seen togetrher, included The Death of You and Me and AKA What a Life
Because Noel doesn't like videos, he kind of lets other people do what they want with them. Unfortunately, other people tend to think they are making apocalypse now and make all his videos really weird/indie. In this particular case this director had this whole movie theme going that continues to a few more music video and if you put them all together you get like a mini movie.
Anyways, all this to say that I agree noels videos tend to distract from his music. So props to dave for still being able to see the beauty in the music despite the efforts of this particular director to make his video the main attraction.
I got vibes of Jonny Cash's version of Hurt. Especially the intro and bits of the video too. Great track and agree about the Lennon feel too.
The best love song that Noel has written. The acoustic version of this song is majestic. If you guys ever do a part 2 of the reaction like you did with Champagne Supernova I would give the links down below for your reference as Dave really loved the song.
