R.I.P old Spoony, out of everyone on the old TGWTG ye (Brad Jones being a possible exception) were the only who had the chance of makking it big. what happend to you was a tragedy, everyone else on that site. A farce.
Itonically. Spoony saved me from a bad depression. My father just died and nothing was cheering me up. I was burnt out on avgn and other stuff like you. I discovered spoony and it cheered me up so much. He was so different and original and charismatic . Most of all the funniest person I had ever seen. Avgn just yells at things, noahs jokes were intelligent and linked together throughout all his episodes building upon each other. It really inspired me to wanting to be an original, charismatic and entertaining person. I began studying his comedy and trying to figure out how it worked. Best of all it distracted me from the immense depression and helped me through to the other side. Sad that ironically he may be the one who needs help
The end was a reference to the infamous last episode of sopranos where the episode just cuts off to a tune playing up in the background. At the end it just signed the video off.
My favorite Spoony review. Just so happens that it was also the first Spoony review I had ever seen. I had seen this game in rental stores in the early 90s and was interested in it. Thank God I always got Castlevania 3 instead.
This looks more like the big street battle at the end of Death Wish 3 than anything in a Dirty Harry movie. Except for the snakes. There wasn't an army of snakes in Death Wish 3. Or an evil mad scientist in a sewer, come to think of it.
Actually, because of this review I decided to play this game on an emulator and managed to beat the first level (Toymaker and all), but the second level was on a a pier or something and was hard as BALLS so I indefinitely quit ultimately.
This reminds me so much of the second level of "Bartman Meets Radioactive Man" The second level is one giant sewer level with leaking pipes that kill you and lots of dead ends
Mostly referring to his rant about the movie sequels, recently the only Dirty Harry DVDs I've seen are the 4-Movie packs, so they have all except The Deadpool. Granted, from what I hear that's for the best, but I'm still a bit of a collector purest.
There actually is a megaman game that has a stage that dosent end after you defeat the boss. In Megaman X8, after defeating Burn Rooster, the boss room floods with magma, and you have to jump some platforms to get the boss's rare metal, and then the level ends. and while it's technically not a robot master stage, the second fortress stage in Megaman and Bass continues after defeating the boss, three times infact.
"It's like playing Megaman, beating a robot master, and having to go through just a few more rooms..." I'm legit curious if he played X8, since that actually happens in Burn Rooster's level.
Oddly it plays in most of the scenes where the camera cuts away to Spoony. It makes sense if you are familiar with the infamous Sopranos ending which this video also references.
8:02 I hate that "logic". Why can't i jump and headshot or just get up closer and headshot the idiot? Should he not be carrying an AK-47 and shoot like in the NES game Total Recall? Then again enemies that do that shit still should be easily killable. If the game wants you dead just say "fuck you.. game over".
I wish spoony would review the Wizard of Speed and Time. It was actually a movie that was so ingenious but came out at such a disadvantageous time for itself since the Wizard released alongside it and it was basically removed from advertising in order to not compete or confuse the fred savage movie in any way (which of course is a total letdown for the mastermind behind it) you can straight up watch it right on youtube
Yep. It's a joke on the Sopranos ending but for the record the rest of the game was just the player using the resources of the first level to carry them all the way to the end which is 2 much smaller levels in comparison to the first. You really did get the Lion's Share of this game in the review.

Ну во-первых про эмулятор он спалился ещё в обзоре на игру про Волверина, на сеге которая. А во-вторых - не все же такие задроты и эстеты как Рольф. Да и с эмулятора записывать видео гораздо проще, чем с телевизора.

Man I really feel bad for Spoony sometimes. His mental heath has become so crippling for him that it's turned him into someone far from this Spoony.
Spoony at his best. He was my go to choice when AVGN and Nostalgia Critic got old. Really sad to see what has become of him nowadays :(
