Hey man, ive been climbing with this lanyard for a few years, and I’m really trying to dial in on every single piece of my gear right now to get rid of every annoyance. One, are you still using it and two, did you settle on girthing it to the top? Ive actually never used the girth, and have always just had a pirate in the loop holding it to me (i like to be able to remove saw from lanyard quicker), but i see the value of it not bumping my ass so often and sitting a little higher on the saddle, but i could also see it catching more on tight unions since its kinda angled out more than straight down. Thoughts?

Used one for a month on the D ring on my 200t. Seems to frey really fast right at the girth hitch. What is your experience with that?

Bit of tool and Rage playing in the background, nice

Just thought of something. The minimum break strength of 4.5kN is for the whole thing to rip in half, but maybe saws are limited to 15lbs because heavier saws would damage the spring and prevent the lanyard from shrinking fully?
    Anyway, nice preview.

I feel the same way about my monkey beaver...just ordered another one! I also want to try out that radius ring too...you like it? or does it not really make a difference...?

I didn't like it, tried a swivel next, not a fan, back to just a ring.

Im sure they have tested and approved this for Arb work but I'm immediately uncomfortable with the idea of girth hitching onto the top handle. What if it slipped over the trigger and it kept cutting once you let off. Maybe its dumb but...the idea of side loading or accidental opening of a crab seems dumb but it does happen. Anyone have a strong opinion on it? I might buy one.

The weight limit is to do with the loads generated if the saw is dropped from full reach above you and maintaining a safe peak load. More detail on there own website video.

Haven't really tried, sure you could, just have to make sure you have the biner on the top handle in the right spot when you do it.

i have a shembiner xl and hook the lanyard to the ring on my saw, then i put a wire eye pirate biner thru the ring on top of the lanyard, i can grab and stow my saw with one hand everytime, it took a while to find the perfect combo but it works great and speeds things up a bunch
