Use the forks on the tractor, close together they can hold a lot of wood, they roll easily to the splitter and can be used to also pick up the cut rounds on the ground. I do it now.

4th option with no log split is the rip the big rounds down the middle to smaller ones you can pick up. That’s what I do for the big ones since I don’t have a tractor or any other heavy equipment.

You've got all kinds of nice stuff showing up at the farm Brock, nice! And I see that you've established a relationship with Andrew, which is nice too! I've been wanting to get an Eastonmade 12-22 for the longest time to use on my channel, but just can't shell out the money right now. But I watch pretty much ALL of the firewood channels, and everybody either goes with an Eastonmade or a Wolfe Ridge, with most of them landing on the Eastonmade. AWESOME splitters!
Just a suggestion, since the Ultra doesn't have a log lift, when you fill your tractor or skid bucket with large rounds like that, I'd lift the bucket and park the skid or tractor right behind you so that you don't have to keep bending over to pick the rounds up. Keep the bucket at about waist height and your back will thank you!
I'm also anxiously waiting to see which tractor and brand you land on in the next month or so! Good video Brock!

I love my ultra!! The only downside I’ve seen so far is the handle broke off of the single way not long after getting it and the hydraulic cylinder keeps getting scratches in it which eventually causes the seals to leak. Andrew already replaced it for me once and it’s starting again but I don’t do anything wrong with it to have it do that do must be a bad batch of cylinders or something. The machine goes thru wood quick especially with that 4 way wedge. You’ll love it in sure. It will outwork you for sure. Need two people to get the full work load out of it.

Nice piece of equipment. So is your other one. I am in Michigan and cut wood in the winter. I have an old TSC splitter from the early 90's. The problem is there is no hydraulic bypass when pull starting it so as the engine tries to roll over it's also trying to move 10 degree hydraulic fluid through the pump. Sometimes the engine will kick back and nearly rip my shoulder from the rest of my body. I have looked into a Super Split that cycles using a double flywheel and therefore no hydraulic fluid. It does mot have a log lift table though.

Far from worth the cost unless you are splitting wood every day....This is why I have an electric splitter because I only have the need for a log splitter for a few days a year...storing the splitter all year would have a bunch of maintenance related problems, so I went electric. For $5k+ that thing should have a log lifter on it, or it should at least be a vertical splitter...lifting logs up onto that splitter isn't gonna be very fun.
