I am pretty sure you can't kill this beast, my big jambox is dated 2011 and I have been listening to it since then, I use it every day for.... a long time... and its still going in 2017.

Wow I just randomly saw this as I own a big jambox. Unfortunately the company is no longer around to support the product but it definitely was an unusual great sounding product. You can buy replacement batteries on eBay for about $20 but requires many steps to replace it as seen on UA-cam

When the original music box fell on the Jam Box the music box broke into 2 pieces like the meme "Drop a normal phone the screen will break. Drop a Nokia 3310 the floor breaks" (The floor is like the Original music box) The Jam box is the first electronic that survived all 4 tests.
