Hi Rach, enjoying watching your trip. I go on Thursday with my beautiful dog Ruby. Sooooo looking forward to it. Intending to wild camp most of the way.
great video rach, so glad you enjoyed your time with us, the beaches at durness are as lovely and as clean as you'll see anywhere! nice to hear you say good things about the food as so many english folk think scottish food is rubbish, no deep fried mars bars to be seen! the scenery along the top and down the west coast is really spectacular, a lovely video, thank you 👍🏼🏴🇬🇧
Great video, I drove it a few years back so it was good to relive a few of the memories. I drove it anti-clockwise too, loved the isolation and remoteness of it all, especially the north and west coasts.
Thankyou for your Vlog :) A beautiful compact travel guide :))) oh and The use of what three words is THEEEEEE BEST for location sharing .. Just a beautiful job done and you can be rightfully proud of a video well produced and edited >)))))) BIG HUGS AND THANKYOU ..
Pity you didn't walk into Sandwood bay ,the most beautiful beach I have ever seen, and that includes visits to Hawaii ,Bali and the West coast of the USA
Great video guys, Glad you enjoyed your trip. The shot is from James Bond film 'Skyfall' with Daniel Craig and Judy Dench standing next to the Aston Martin
Thank you! We really loved our stay at Borlum House Farm near Thurso so definitely check them out. The Bettyhill Hotel is also a good stop (great food and helpful staff). Don’t forget to stop by Lochinver too for the best pies in the world at Lochinver Larder! Have a wonderful time.
Hiya guys fantastic video really enjoyed it ....you got cracking weather bet your glad makes it's all the better .....O the spot at Glencoe movie scene was it Braveheart or Rob Roy? Lastly thanks for loving our country guys hope to see you back again
Although Eilean Donan castle may have been there in the 13th century in some form. After the Jacobite rebellion it was totally destroyed and lay in ruins for 200 years. What you see today was built between 1911 and 1932, when it was finally finished- sorry, it is quite a modern building.
"NC500 is popular with motorhomes" so it might be but motorhomes aren't popular with those of us who have to live and work around the NC500. Those who hire them haven't a clue how to drive a larger vehicle on single track roads and the etiquette involved. They stop in laybys and leave their foul waste in the hedges, they drive slow and hold up local traffic, they bring nothing to the local economies as they stock up with fuel and food in Inverness. Then there's the boy racers who treat it as a racetrack, some of them go back south in wooden boxes. You think we like having you all up here? think again!
Wonderful video with fabulous and relevant commentary. Thank you
What a brilliant video.... outstanding scenery; made me more determined to visit Scotland.
