💀 Hey Skeleton Crew! Let us know which song has the most , which song has the most , and drop the time code of your favorite licks! Oh, and say hi to if you see him ;)
This model has remained unchanged for years and years. I think there's something in that. Versatile, easy to play, and good value for money. Kind of a blank canvas - which is a plus with all easy processing these days.
Why 393 views and 38 likes...? Jayme's UA-cam clips should be mandatory listening for many bass players out there. Jayme gives a perfect demo of which sound and playing that fit together with a certain song. I have played for ages and can play almost everything, but sometimes struggle with the sound bit. I will probably never buy the Ibanez SR500 (I have seven basses, I don't need another one), but to hear the track before and after processing is great. For me, this is a gold mine. And great playing, too! Kudos to Jayme. Keep up the good work!
Awesome demo, jayme 😎🤘🏻🎸 I own 2 Ibanez soundgear basses and they one of the best bass guitars I’ve ever played. I even modded one of them with bartolini electronics and it sounds phenomenal. Anywho, the sr500e sounds totally awesome. Especially with the sonicake boom avenue multi-effects pedal.
Awesome playing man! I own a SR and absolutely love it especially now I’ve upgraded with Bart J2 PUs and eq. Let me guess to see how you got your sound I need to pay money?
Nice...i prefer the Nordstrand Big Break pickup's as on my Ibanez 600E...i think you would prefer them to...linear dual coils with staggered polepieces...plays passive as well ,the treble pot becomes a passive tone pot & the pan pot works in passive mode to..3 band eq with 3 position mid selector mini toggle switch...as close as a 1 bass fits all i've played in many years although i'm a Fender man at heart, 2 custom Jazz's & a modded PJ Jaguar... routed pickup so D & G half of pickup is on the neck side now, giving a more even tone across the strings with a little extra bass in the D & G strings but still the same E & A growl of a Fender Precision...nice playing ..for Bartolina's it sounds clear & a good tone, i usually find them all bass with little mids & no treble...all to our own...i think you would like the 600E if you like this Ibanez...well built good bass's for a fair price & the SR series are pretty light in weight with solid ash bodies, Jotoba & walnut neck, 5 piece neck with a rosewood fretboard...i wish i had paid a bit more for the 5 string as it is really good...well demo'd as usual Jayme 🎸
Ngl, for a hundred bucks more you can grab the 600e series , for me it was the 605E, and it comes with the same electronics as their premium SR models.
I preordered this and not the flat brown mahogany finsh wood is far prettier than anything ive seen yet for sale. Yes it does any genre's well. It is super easy to play with a fast neck It is heavy so I bought a Jap Fender for those 4 hr gigs of standing. Paid 834.00..it is a keeper
I have the 505 and I was always missing some umph. I couldn't put my finger on what it was then I got a samsamp bass di and now it has the umph that I was looking for.
that has barts ? the sr 506 with the barts. using the B open using octave slides is what hooked me on a 6 string. octave slides. in half steps then minor on the B string. going down. real dark ,morbid. have a good day.
@@Luchodela I don't think that would be bad at all! I think that idea has a lot of promise. You could probably get a very nice, plucky, upright-sounding tone. I say do it!
Great bass. Oddly enough, I find the model just below it (SR400) is even better. More aggressive/focused pickups. Maple neck instead of that stupid bubingo wood. And stunning finishes. That mud brown 500 model doesn't cut it.

Played this bass today at work and couldn’t believe how incredibly comfortable it plays
For the price, probably one of the best basses you can buy...Great Job
Cort B4. It's everything this bass is, but better.
should I get this bass? or SR600 ntf?
I have the SR505E. I love the tone of that bass.
Yeah, I have it too...I think it's pretty bad ass too. 😎 😊
This is a modern classic. You'll see them in a lot of venues, very versatile, lightweight and durable (except the finish).
I had an OG Ibabez SDGR made in Japan with the AFR P+J pickups, such a great sounding bass for the money, I wouldn't mind owning one again.
Got this bass on my wishlist. Perfect timing for this demo. ✌
I owned one, sadly I HD to sell it. But years later I bought another one but the 5-string version, I love this bass guitar!

I would like to listen to more of his clips but they are locked behind a paywall.

BROOOOO!!!PURE SOUND!!!!
How have you found the passive mode? Useable?

So nice/good sound👍
i liked the Triplets you did
Nice, I have the 5 string version. Love it
Great video as always Jayme!
In the P-bass-ish bit was it in passive or active?

YAY JAYME IS BACK
PLAY SOME MOTOWN JAYME
I ordered two tools to choose and buy one of them: sr500e and sr600e. Now I’m puzzled by choosing which one is better?))) Help me decide!

what song was that at 1:40?? 👀
2:13 is there a tab for this bass line??? Sounds very funky and would love to play it!
Can you do a demo of the Ibanez SR600E? I've never seen a proper demo of it.

They sound killer always liked the tones they get I just can’t stand the body and that headstock and they have nice necks
got a gibson eb5. wine red. 👍👍👍
Thought this bass was designed as a jazz bass to be played with flatwounds?
I actually am thinking of doing that and turning it into fretless. Would that be a bad idea?
@@Luchodela I don't think that would be bad at all! I think that idea has a lot of promise. You could probably get a very nice, plucky, upright-sounding tone. I say do it!
@@micahweeks9459 Thanks bro for replying. I will let you know how it goes. Cheers!
Whats the difference between the SR500 and the SR500E?
I believe is just a Frequency selector switch for mids (3 positions 250 hz, 450hz and 750 hz) that comes in the E version. Cheers.
Sorry I checked, SR500 comes with 1 switch (freq. Selector) and the 500E, has additional switch to turn On and Off the Active EQ.
