FBI Way too short a life. No matter how old he was, far too short.

Love "Inside the Actors Studio." Such a great show with such a great host. No wonder...two weeks to prepare for each guest at 12 hours a day. That's why it is of such high quality.

I really enjoyed all of this but particularly hearing about his prep for interviews. I've often thought his line of inquiry on Inside the Actor's Studio is the best I've observed.

He must enjoy the research he does for each guest. He's definitely disciplined, but i would think it'd drive someone mad if they never liked doing it

You have to concentrate in way that normal people don't.
    ...
For the first time, you cross the barrier.
And it's the Rubicon you can never go back again.
You now - you sense more than other people do.
You will see more, hear more, feel more, etc than other people do and you will be sensitive to what?
    To the moment
    To your partner
    To your action
To your partner's action, which may conflict with yours
To the play in a way in which other people are not.

The Group Theatre actually didn't bring the Stanislavsky System into America. The American Laboratory Theatre taught by Richard Boleslavsky and Maria Ouspenskaya WAY before the Group. Strasberg actually studied there.

Niko Combitsis He actually does reference that through mentioning Ouspenskaya. It is widely accepted that once the Group Theatre took over teaching the system is when it really blew up. I think that's what he means to say.

I wonder if he was able to hear what God had to say when he got to the Pearly Gates? He was a great guy (James, that is ... not God, as God is a woman ...).
