Cut the Trooper some slack. You try standing still for a long time in the sun, wearing a full ceremonial jacket made from wool, buckskin breeches, a metal helmet, plus a cuirass on your chest and back - and you’re only allowed to wriggle your toes. Well done all !
They volunteered for the job and understood what was required prior to signing on. Is this nonsense really needed in 2024 -- move with the times breaking away from all these medievel uniforms!

Good work helping her out before she fell and hit her head. Nothing warms my heart like seeing people looking out for one another like this.
Surprised there weren’t more with heatstroke.
It must have been terribly hot standing in full sun in those uniforms

Ещё и в форме. Все бывает на жаре
The metal helmet is very uncomfortable as it is designed..imagine the sun blaring down on it heating it while you are standing at attention in the blaring sunshine.
Yes RF satanic rituals are full of fire 🔥🔥
Standing at attention for long periods can cause pooling of blood in the legs; if the individual has slightly low blood pressure, they may faint.
Good to see the guard received assistance before possible loss of consciousness.
The phenomenon can happen to anyone & is not necessarily a symptom of general ill health.

It’s because he locked his knees.
Many an NCO will tell Guards to wiggle their toes to help prevent fainting but not much room in the toe of their riding boots. Horse Guards are not used to spending long periods standing to attention as usually sitting on a horse.
Full respect what a delightful video showing humans at their best❤❤
Kindness towards fellow guards "person" and lovely, lovely music 🎶
Get well soon
Thank you all supporting staffs.
Having stood various military ceremonial functions in the US Military I can sympathize with the Guard, and they have the added weight of the ceremonial helmet, heavy coat and uniform. Boots and other gear that restricts air flow and movement,
Add in the heat and even the Strongest and veteran soldiers can find themselves in the same situation, It has happened to me and it’s incredibly embarrassing, so I offer my support and best wishes for the King’s Guard.

This is a known issue when standing still for long periods of time. Sun makes it worse. My brother was one of the unlucky ones who had to be hauled off one year while his regiment was being inspected by Prince Philip, who was their royal colonel-in-chief, and, even worse as far as he was concerned, our father was the C.O. of the regiment. He was so embarrassed when he came to. That was over fifty years ago.

Poor thing! I hope she’s ok! As a person who was in the military and used to standing in formation, even locking your legs is enough to take you out. And if it was hot, double trouble! Either way, best wishes!

They’re all are supposed to sway back and forth a bit to keep blood flowing. She probably locked her knees which reduced blood pressure and it got so low that it was about to cause her to collapse.
This should only be done by men! With all the heavy attire....
Conditions can often be a challenge for Members of the British Armed Forces. 🇬🇧💂

Poor guardsman!
Quick help him up!
It was lucky for Trooping the colour, usually a fainter or two, I feel very sorry for the unfortunate soldiers, it was a much cooler day with heavy down pour of rain.
I bet she feels bad and let the side down, it happens in the heat, unfortunately to have a summer uniform would no where be as a spectacle , however they could combat it slightly by having the guards move and water being given whilst waiting for the service to finish, this would force blood circulation and cut down on fainters . Hope she’s feeling better, I do wonder of the backlash, I hope there is non .
Hope he’s okay bless him.

Stumbled? Think again, almost fainted due to heat inside metal helmet. Besides, that’s a horse soldier, not accustomed to standing like that.
I could imagine the guards standing cant even move get well soon thank you for the people that helped
The poor Guard probably locked her knees, along with standing out in the heat for a couple of hours.
Too bad they cannot at least remove their hat to let heat escape, really
A touch of labrynthitis? menieres, vertigo, heatstroke or cramp? No matter, I really felt for him. I hope he recovered without a second's feeling of shame or having let the side down.

I wish he is doing better now. I feel so proud that I have never seen any officers stumbling when performing there duty under scorching sun with temperatures reaching 50C, especially during pilgrimage here in the KSA.
It was SHE actually.
Really? 50 c because that is 122f and right now according to weather bug app it says 64f
@@PunkySpunky The temperature in the holy sites in the last 3 days since the pilgrimage started ranges 40C - 45C, for that some pilgrims had heat exhaustion & strokes although so many stationary shades and umbrellas were provided. Temperature now in Riyadh where I live is 43C, I swear sometimes it would be impossible to get into the car or even touch the steering wheel, it feels like in an oven 🔥🥵
The guard is a woman , not a man.
@@asz6965 really? Because according to Google 50c is 122 f and 45 is 113 f and the last time I went to England I wore sweaters and didnt have to put my hair up unlike here in Georgia or Kentucky
Poor soul, I hope the Guarsman is feeling much better. I don't think itt was necessary to film his embarrassment, and certainly not necessary to post it everyone to see.
She didn’t stumble, she started to faint. They stand there for hours in heavy uniforms and especially on a warm day with no fluids it’s no wonder they faint. Many of the guards place ice packs especially under the bear skins in summer. It’s one of the reasons why they change their gun position from right to left and back again and change their feet position especially stamping their feet ( I can’t think what the proper word is) it helps get the blood circulating and helps prevent fainting. The trouble is when they’re stood for hours and haven’t eaten or taken on fluids for hours you’re asking for trouble. I’m surprised the Services haven’t changed their policy and at least let honour guards hydrate a bit more often especially when it’s extremely hot weather …..tho that seems somewhat lacking this year!!
How beautiful are the feet of them that bringeth good tidings of great joy !!.
Hope that the Royal Guard is fine ,heat might be a reason, God bless UK soldiers, Commonwealth forces and Indian soldiers ,love to King from Delhi ,God Save The King ♥️👑🇮🇳🇬🇧🤴👸💂😊

They normally give them all Polo mints - but that uniform is rather hot and heavy in the sun.
She. It's a she. It took me a minute to get this, but it's a she. I also noticed she seems to have lost motor control of both her arms and legs. Poor thing. Could have been the heat, or low blood sugar , or the poor thing could have ingested a drug ( accidentally of course ) that inhibits motor control of the arms and legs. There are so many drugs that can do that. Poor thing, whatever happened to her. That had to have been humiliating to have the whole world see you lose control of your body. 😔

If you wish to guard, you’ll have to be able to stand long hours
When they fall they seem to do it with such grace and always get up and carry on.😮
Hope the guard is ok. ❤️🇦🇺🦘
Wool uniform, helmet covering the head so heat can’t escape, sun beating down on everyone, no air movement to cool the skin. It’s surprising that there was only one guard that went down. I hope she has recovered, heat sickness is no fun. In my experience once it hits you, you’re always susceptible to more occurrences with even less heat.

i can imagine more totalitarian countries viewing such irregularities as an embarrassment to the government perhaps deserving later punishment, but i rather like seeing that an organization cares about its members and in the long run probably results in better morale for all.
Don't lock your knees standing that long.
I think if I was wearing a metal helmet on my head on a hot day I'd fall over too. A ridiculous combination of clothing for high temperatures and I don't care that it's 'traditional'.
Right. Everything is so heavy for hot weather. I’ve seen several regiments practicing their music or maneuvers in different uniforms and caps instead of the bearskins and scarlet tunics. I don’t see why they can’t be worn in the hot times

It happens.... Thats why IT CAN be a chargable offence in the British Army not to eat breakfast. This could have been down to anything though and I feel sorry for the Guard. Pregnant maybe, who knows........ Not nice to see though.
I doubt very much she is pregnant ! Women tend to have a lower blood pressure than men so more predisposition to faint. Polo mint or sugar wouldn’t help. If they were allowed to move, ie , go from attention to at ease and they stamp their feet moving the pooled blood from their feet, that would help, plus someone giving water at regular intervals would cut this down , as all the guards are waiting for the service to end , I do think this would cut down the fainters , plus had they noticed her swaying , they could have intervened quicker with water and getting her to move ie march say to the next soldier and back could have prevented her collapse. It happens to even big burley soldiers.
@@deniseabbott5114 Some very good points. I've served and know how hard it can be. Troops are encouraged to carry sweets to keep the blood pressure up. It really could have been anything.
