Thanks for the update, really enjoyed. My zelkovas leaves are still eaten by some bug as I can see those eaten holes in them even after all leaves removal. The new leaves got the same probs.

Did the insects eat the zelkova leaves?
Japanese zelkova is not eaten by insects very much.

Disinfection is done once a week.

I really like your aesthetic and can see that the work you do is bold and usually very successful. Can I ask, why do you keep so many of your bonsai in what appear to be temporary pots? Is this just a style I don't know, or are they not yet ready for the sort of shallow tray-like pots I see holding mature bonsai?

In Japan, we put them in beautiful pots only in the year of exhibition.
