I own a Sequoia 2013 and it is amazing with travelling with your family or friends or off road or any occasion you have and it's still functioning really well. Now I'm thinking to upgrade to this model even I don't have to but I'm in love
@BlessedDoongleBerry why do you think they took 15 years update this thing 😂? They made sure it was gonna be reliable. They’ve been testing the engine itself in the current gen LS for 5 years now working out all the kinks and Toyota hybrids are known to be the most reliable in the entire industry. Toyota knows what they’re doing and wouldn’t tarnish their reliability reputation for emissions.
@@matthewschoen5746 lol. That comment didn't age well with the turbo something malarkey were you have to remove the engine from the car or lift the body from the frame to fix it. In a brand new 60/80k truck😳
The cargo doesn’t make much sense to me. Good idea with the shelf but the third row not folding down to make it flat seems odd and the non sliding middle row would be difficult to use with car seats on it if others wanted to use the third row.
All these vehicles are getting too expensive. Super happy I picked up a 2016 Ford Expedition with 30k miles and 7 year warranty for $31k about 2 years ago. Guess I am keeping it forever now with basically the same vehicle from Toyota costing more then 2x the cost. And with supply chains being screwed, pretty happy about it now as well. Good luck Toyota but honestly don't think you will meet your goal of selling 3x as many with the cost this high and gas prices over $6. You did this in 08 as well. Good timing. Lol.
We have a 2010 Ford Expedition. We now have over 220k miles on it with nothing major going wrong on it at all. We got it in 2014 for about $26k with an extended warranty. It has better functionality than this Toyota. The second and third row actually fold flat into the floor and you can put a 6' adult male in the 3rd row with knee and head room. Getting 2 back there is easy, 3 is a bit tight on width, but 3 kids in the 3rd row is easy and comfortable. I can't imagine paying 80k for a car with less functionality than our 13 year old Ford.
Agree side profile window lines, squarish wheel fender, open window hatch and taillights are reminisce of the 3rd gen Highlander (14-19). Toyota is dope.
Finally a Japanese car that looks as bad ass as GM trucks! Love this cars design. It’s very nice looking because it’s finally on par with American/European 7-seater SUVS and trucks. I really like it’s looks and think Toyota finally gets it. I’m glad since Toyota/Lexus designs have been uh, controversial in the past to say the least.
Hey Micah, how tall are you? You should start telling us how tall you are so that we can have a frame of reference for the extrapolation of dimensions for a given vehicle...both interior and exterior. Thanks!
For those that have driven both, how does the new sequoia compare to the 2022 4Runner limited? Both are body on frame with a solid rear axle. 4Runner has the x-rea suspension though.
Can you confirm whether the middle position in the 2nd row had lower (rigid latch) anchors for car seat installation? It appears that the bench only has them in the outbound positions for the 2nd row. Additionally, still no 4wd-auto for drive select?
The more I watch these Sequoia videos the more I realize how much better a Sienna is. The Sienna’s interior space for passengers AND cargo just blows this out of the water. The only reason to get a Sequoia is if you’re off roading or have major towing needs.
I love the way that this looks at least the outside and the inside is not too bad but I'm thinking to myself chicken they have just made a bigger truck instead of having this cargo management thing that plastic in the back that you had to move back and forth if you have a handful of groceries you do not want to move that thing around and sidenote the defender 130 is bigger than the Sequoia

I shifted over to the Korean made products, & am on my 3rd Hyundai since 2015, and think they are outstanding vehicles. Currently own a 2019 Hyundai Tucson top-spec Ultimate trim 2wd, which I also love. But I’m really liking what Toyota/Nissan & Subaru are doing with their vehicles in terms of design, features, infotainment, & safety equipment! This Sequoia is a beautiful looking Large 7/8 pax SUV & has a similar design theme to the New Tundra pickup which was just released for sale. Overall great New vehicle I might give a look to, but would have to have the top-spec Capstone trim if I were to purchase!…Thanks Micah!
The seats that slide forward are better for those with kids. It takes less time to slide vs flip the seat. Then there’s the car seat issue. You can’t flip the seat if a car seat is installed. The third row seats should fold in to where the cargo area would be completely flat. More head space for taller people in the third row would be great. Other than those things, it looks to be a great SUV.
Wondering if Toyota will come out with a "extended length" version of this...that'd solve the head rest issues in the third row seat and also be in a league with the Suburban, Escalade ESV and Yukon XL

@@naveenthemachine well, let’s be fair, the Sequoia as introduced is a preproduction model. Let’s see when it comes to market. My guess is for every Sequoia sold about 30 Tellurides will be sold.
