I have the 2003 Chevy Trailblazer EXT. I think the reason for Toyota not being able to have it flat all the way is the battery and yes, the Chevys have a better shelf. Anyway, I'm still buying it when it comes out here in Fl.

The Jeep was much cheaper and it gave me more features than I could ever want as Standard! Too bad it does not have auto sensing four wheel drive. The target audience don’t know what binding means till first time they try to put it in reverse in 4-high. Then would never put it in 4x4 after that.
That's not even the worst part. The old sequioa had 2wd and a torsen center diff. So you could drive in 4 high full time. And then lock the center diff to make true 4WD. Huge step backwards
Paul. I dont know if the fancy powertrain will hold up at all compared to the plain old durable v8. I own a sequoia limited and its fantastic as a all weather family hauler. In fact i love it. I drive very few miles a year and the mileage is poor. But i cant afford ten or 15 times the money to buy a 60 grand vehicle to get better mileage. I feel beyond safe in my sequoia and have walking problems at times. My sequoia gets me thru any snow or mess i drive thru.
After considering the new sequoia for a good while, ended up buying the new Expedition stealth. Same money, but far more utility and IMHO, better built quality. I'm not sure why they did the hybrid thing in this truck, the fuel economy isn't that great and they wasted a whole bunch of cargo space to accommodate the batteries. It will sell because it's the "new land cruiser" but it doesn't have any knockout features to win me over.
I've been patiently waiting for the new Sequoia and I'll be honest I am not impressed with the cargo space. I have 3 kids....this won't due. This is a deal breaker for me.
That shelf and rear trunk are a disaster. No flat load floor without compromising height. The shelf levels affect width of cargo as well. Big fail. Tundra it is....

Does everyone know you can get a Land Cruiser. 200 series he used for that? Again amazing spectacular truck but crazy expensive
for the most part it comes in on par or better than its competitors. The limited trim feature set in particular is pretty darned good. No auto 4wd is surprising.
@Toyota better do something about dealership markups , 73k should be 73k. We dont need a 10k or a 20k mark up on dealer installed addons or " market adjustment"
How sad. Still a solid axle, rear seats folded do not make a flat floor, and sport plus won’t compensate for that. Yes they’ll sell, great looking (finally), quality unsurpassed. But those are 2 huge misses. Ford has solved both of those issues since 2003. GM is late to the party, but Nissan got there years ago. Those are 2 inexcusable misses this day and age. I love Toyotas, but this for an all new design is very sad.
@@ConsoleCombat It is not a feature when every competitor moved to IRS. @@ConsoleCombat The prior generation was IRS - and all the competitors have moved that direction. So now Toyota stands alone. @@Odat When the last gen was first released and for years after Toyota claimed they couldnt fix the shortcomings of the old Sequoia. It took forever for them to finally admit they actually could add full time awd and even then they only added it to certain trims. They will do the same with this gen. They will claim that they cant fix the storage issue because of the batteries. Then like 5 plus years down the road they will finally fix it and act like they are doing us a favor. Maybe 7 or so they will get around to the awd. Its just not worth waiting for Toyota to get thier heads out of their backsides. Not to mention they will then claim all the bad sales of the Sequoia is proof they should have canceled it anyway. For now something like the new Lexus RX looks good. Plus there is talk of a new Lexus that might fill this niche.
Why would I buy this opposed to buying the Lexus? What are you all trying to tell us that the Lexus is going to be hundreds of thousands of dollars? This is a joke is getting to a point where the greed is out of control with these companies. They seem to think they can charge anything for these vehicles.

Put a deposit down for a 2023 on June 2022. Saw the first real world review videos of this vehicle in October. Cancelled our deposit and bought a certified 2021 TRD Sport instead. What a letdown this new design is. Very small interior cargo room, terrible gas mileage for a hybrid, multiple blind spots. The engineer should be fired.
This vehicle is way too expensive I don’t care. How do you try to glorify it? It is a tundra SUV. If a Lexus issued luxury line, how is it that you’re making a little bro more expensive or does this means you’re going to have the Lexus Wayover priced. It just being a Toyota and trying to get by on that fact wont save it. Toyota has been really letting me down as of late. And even the upcoming 4Runner redesign is already getting people worried because of Toyotas recent direction.
Toyota needs new leadership.
Exactly!!. They cut too many corners. It was made as cheaply as possible.
That’s the song a dance these reviewers do because god forbid you say something bad then you’re out of their early production models program and they won’t let you touch one before the general public which means less views because everyone’s already gotten to it before you did
That's what it's always been guy
@@atg1338 the previous sequoia has full time 4wd. This one doesn’t. The second row doesn’t slide on the new one. It did on the previous generation. They cut corners for sure on the new one.
Toyota ❤️🦾
If you need a vehicle this big, get a Sienna and call it a day. It does everything the Sequoia does but better. If your masculinity is hurt by that, getting this vehicle will not do a thing for it aside from more self denial.
It does hurt my masculinity :(
Was looking for the RWD Sienna that can tow a boat and has a bunch of ground clearance. Can you link me please?
Класс!

I truly considered this vehicle but looking at it for the money it’s not worth it.
toyota 4 runner is a better deal and 25,000 cheaper
