Years ago my alarm clock was a speech from Arnold Schwarzenegger. Honestly, that and a lot of motivational material was a component to me completely changing my life. Over the years, I spent a lot of time immersed in personal development material. I don't need motivational stuff anymore. It's still nice to check out from time to time though. People like it because it gives a temporary dopamine hit to get started. Lasting motivation comes from developing proper habits, systems, intrinsic desire, and understanding the "why" behind what you are doing.

Personally going through this phase right now. A few years ago, these videos helped change my mindset. Nowadays, I'm looking for a new trigger and that comes from within. Barely watch or listen to them as frequently as I used to, but still do every now and then.

    • @ApolloStrengthGarage

@@keritans What I will say is that what you let enter your mind, what you consume on a regular basis, subconsciously becomes a part of you. You will be influenced whether you realize it or not. That's why I believe that every young person coming up should enrich their mind with as much content and positive mantras as possible. Accept what is useful, reject what is useless.

@@ApolloStrengthGarage Oh yeah the subconscious mind is very powerful. The smallest negative thing someone says to themselves, they will subconsciously believe it.
I don't watch TV. Haven't watched it for 2 years. I only surround myself with like minded, ambitious people who want more in life. I read and listen to self help books and implement the Miracle Morning philosophies.
Right now I'm gaining clarity on what I want since I'm falling for alot of bells and whistles.

I relate with this. There was an Arnold Schwarzenegger speech/video that I started listening to when I worked at a warehouse. I talked my way into a part time position doing paperwork. I would listen to Arnold, Grant Cardone, Eric Thomas and video about Michael Jordan. Then I graduated the the biographies of MJ and Arnold and the 10XRule by Grant Cardone. One of the biggest pieces of advice that has stuck with me from Arnold is "Little victories" he spoke of winning his first little trophy for the clean and jerk. Then he kept earning trophy after trophy. He is so focused on his goals. This was probably 5-6 years ago, but I will always keep those lessons with me. That speech is free to listen to folks. Listen to it once a day, 12 times a day, whatever it takes to make a part of your life.
Now I am a real estate agent and own two rental properties. I worked my way up from beating up my body lifting heavy plumbing materials. Keep feeding your mind and soul with positive messages. I am proof that you can grow up in poverty and grind your way out of it. I am nowhere near accomplishing my goals, but I am a lot closer than I was 6 years ago.
Also fun fact: Mr. Schwarzenegger started building wealth from real estate, the fame and fortune from HOLLYWOOD came later.

Another very powerful message PBD. I've always remembered this powerful quote by the late Jim Rohn when I heard it years ago. Rohn said: "The best motivation is self-motivation. The guy says, ‘I wish someone would come by and turn me on.’ What if they don’t show up? You’ve got to have a better plan for your life.” I've never forgotten that statement. You reiterated it very well for your community today. Thank you!!!

To Self: The best discipline to have is Self Discipline. I learned that from Discipline = Freedom Field Manual. Life can be tough sometimes especially when you are not performing as well as you have in the past. Motivate yourself to get back at it whatever it is and move forward. Momentum needs to be built up. Get going. Sincerely: Self

I worked in London in the past for an old-school sales-person - I learned a lot, but I also have seen what not to do. During my time I learned that there is a 1. smart aggressive and 2. weird aggressive way how you can present yourself and how to motivate yourself & others. If you just come to the office and say F* and F* and want to punch something than in my experience that leads too often with too many people to steam building up and exploding and then you often end up disintegrating your work. There is the element of how you channel energy for it to be a motivation as opposed to being angry and some people have a problem with that. Regardless if channeled towards yourself or others.
Myself I often fall down the rabbit hole of channeling energy in a wrong way - mental hygiene is important.

I used to be that person that was constantly being a BMW. Bitching. Moaning. Whining.
Then I decided to look deeper. I realized, motivational videos were keeping me, just like everyone else motivated for a limited time. In fact, most of them keep you motivated for their duration + and extra 3 seconds before the next cat video pops up in the feed.
Then something magic happened. I produced results. Those results made me ask the question, "Am I able to 2x that?"
So I went out there and I found an answer to the question. And believe me, during the process to get the answer I needed no motivation. I was focused on getting my answer.
Eventually, motivation must become passion and passion must become an obsession. That is when things just move and move and move.

This is crucial for business partners too! For your own good, do not partner with anyone who isn't self motivated no matter how much you like them

Timely message. Although I return to your page weekly to stay updated I never return for motivation rather information to act on.

No more videos for the people that fucked up their lives with mental problems, ptsd, anxiety and AvPD etc etc that follows you. YOU ARE RIGHT, we are sick fucked, we need help. We feel life very different than the rest. Empathy is my last straw in society I have💫

This is the bottom line. Got to find a way to "motivate" yourself 100%...even on tough days most all of the time.
