Thanks a lot! So valuable this video, never though of negotiating the salary and never have done it before so I bet there is always a first time and soon I'll have an opportunity to try it :)
This video was super helpful! I did have one question. In the video you mentioned the difference between salary and sign-on bonus, and I think you had said sign-on bonuses are immediate. Does that mean you get a check or direct deposit in the amount of the sign-on bonus? Or is it paid to you throughout the whole year in increments?
The terms of that would be outlined in your offer. I do not want to make a blanket statement and set false expectations for anyone, so I would wait to get your offer (if you receive one), and then read through the terms specified in your individual agreement because they do vary.
Hey Grant! Just got notified of being selected for area manager position, question I feel I posses the the educational and work experience necessary to be considered for an L5. What do you think would be the best approach?
Hi Edgar, great question. If you feel that you should be at a specific level I would present your case to the recruiter and ask them for feedback on where they think you are qualified to be positioned in terms of level
@@Grant0669 Ok, and what about L5? I though you were L5 from another video... As it is L4 or 5 I don't know when they apply each one for the same role. Maybe it's the experiences what determines if L4 or 5 for an AM?
@@VicenteMartinezDelgado If you receive an offer and it is non-negotiable it will explicitly state that in the letter. I don't want to say whether or not a certain level is non-negotiable overall simply because I am not in a position to make that blanket statement
Location is something you can discuss with your recruiter so definitely have that conversation early on in the process. if you receive an offer and it is for a location you are not interested in, I would reach out to your recruiter and express this
Did you negotiate your offer? In your offer letter did it say yours was non negotiable? I got an offer but said it is non negotiable. I think is pretty low for an L5 compared to others ive seen online. Thanks!
It really depends on the person and the site, but they say that the physical letter should be provided within 5 business days of receiving a verbal offer.

Thank you for the feedback!
Hey Grant,

Hey Grant ! What about location ? Do you think they can negotiate the location?

Thank you! Do u still recommend negotiating even after it’s stated in the offer letter that salary is non negotiable
Roni B that it totally up to you! I can’t say one way or another - it would depend for me on how drastically low the offer was
Roni, what was your offer?

Hello! It appears through other people’s comments that offers that are non-negotiable are for the L4 level
How long does it usually take to get the offer letter?
It really depends on the person and the site, but they say that the physical letter should be provided within 5 business days of receiving a verbal offer.
