Blenheim Palace was gifted to John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marloborough, after his victory at the Battle of Blenheim in 1704, it is in many ways an epic monument rather than a comfortable home. And the gardens and palace are a true masterpiece to visit.
Blenheim has witnessed its fair share of historical scandals. From the falling out between Queen Anne and Sarah Churchill, to the antics of schoolboys who sheltered at Blenheim during the Second World War. It is also, perhaps most famously, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.
Famous movies such as Spectre and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix have also been recorded at Blenheim Palace.

^Did you take the train from London and the shuttle from the Hanborough station? Trying to figure out best way to get to the entrance without walking much since i'll be with older relatives.
