Jessica Kobeissi [ You are making just incredible videos.. i have no complain for image ....
Nope, no complain .
But a huge problem of all yours videos is that SPEECH VOLUME (just Volume) make it loud some time it's hard to listen. You have vary nice contains. But please just slide up Volume button...
Thank you
Kirsty Taggart I
Ronak Savaliya I always have to turn my volume up. I really love her videos but she has a really quiet speaking voice.
U
Next video plz: "3 photographers shoot the same leaf". You gonna beat them with experience!
Juan Quispe lol
Good idea!
Hahhaaha
True
LMAO!!
JESSICA NEW CHALLENGE??? RECREATE YOUR OLD PHOTOGRAPHY...LIKE THE OUTFITS AND ALL.
S H A K I R A Love that idea! I second that !!!!🤩🌻
S H A K I R A omg hahahahaha I’ll look into it!!
That'd be an interesting challenge!
Recreate them but with your skills now so you can call it..”redeem myself”
The moment you realize Jessica’s old photography looks kinda similar to your current photography . . . 😬
It is actually better than my current photography xD
In 2013, my photographs are like Jessica's old photos. In 2019, I already achieved a lot and even joined contest in our whole region with almost 100 participants and had my clients. There is always room for improvements! 😊
Alyssa Guevara yeah.... 😂
St least you know your potential future
It hurts
haha I think the "dead-leaf-phase" is a must for everyone getting into photography XD
A World Hopper my first phase was sunsets and the sun between trees
Omg yessss! haha😂
Mine is close-ups of flowers 😂🌸🌻
Isabelle Barker Right!!!😂😂
My phase one was taking photos of trees from the trunk up
“Hey please take a picture of me... because you have a really expensive camera-”
-every person ever
Doesnt matter, as long as they pay you 😅😂
Any photographer who says they didn't go through a ''dead leaf and flower'' phase in the beginning is a goddamn liar!!
I went through the "ducks and more ducks" stage when I was younger XD
Trees and trees and trees.
It’s crazy. It didn’t know this was a phase lol I’m in it
Scott Duncan ikr the first time I ever took pictures with a real camera was of like leaves and flowers super close up.
@@farrahjacobs7747 There is no phases in photography. Shoot what you like and own it.
Okay why do people underestimate Jessica’s comedy? 😂
Her "bad" pictures are my good pictures
As a viewer and fellow photographer in the works, I just want to say that I am so proud of you. This might not mean a lot coming from a total stranger, but you have shared a part of your journey with us and seeing you blossom into the person you are today makes me feel so happy for you.
Thank you Jessica!! For sharing your tips, personal experiences, and knowledge with us. I recently made a major decision for myself to take a break from school for a bit to focus on photography and improve, and you being real with us and at the same time encouraging us on the journey made me feel inspired.
Thanks again.
Thank you so much. It does mean a lot, a whole lot. Every comment like this, from people like you. You're so incredibly, sweet
wow this was so motivational thank you for this!
You have amazingly perfect hair, needs no retouching at all. Btw, mind blowing images!
PiXimperfect the best Photoshop guru on UA-cam....world will know that very soon
Wow! Unmesh is here!
Yo unmesh big fan .......
Amio Bangali tumio bangali....love from north east India
Hey there 😉
simp
I'm living her 2010 now. It's the worst.
It's all about putting in the work
I meant in terms of not having anyone to shoot. It's hard to shoot portraits without a subject.
flipkidh there are always people to shoot, period. You can’t limit yourself. Gotta be resilient. :)
I know how that feels. This was 2011 for me. Keep trying, keep asking, change what doesnt work
Ask random strangers for free portraits. Helps with practice and social skills
Hey,you could do a video about recreating your old photos :)
Lmao me af. I'm obsessed with taking pictures of trees, leaves, and birds. I just now starting to get into people photography😂
I see everyone's journey and how they changed.. How their images are getting better and more creative etc..
And what am I doing? I started practicing photography last year and I can't see any difference. Every pic is like my first ones. I don't feel creative.. I can't edit and I still don't know a lot of photography.... I feel like I know nothing. But photography is my passion and I won't stop!
Anonym way !! Keep going!
It takes years, once you have that in mind you will relax and be more patient with yourself. Just make sure you are always changing it up, continue watching videos like these and as the years pass by look over your pictures. Trust me, you'll see a difference. But one year, come on. Give yourself a break for goodness sake.
This comment motivates me 👏👍
In 2009, you were even better than I am now in 2017 and it's been years for me😂😥... Hopefully one day I'll become what you are now - An Awesome: Photographer+Person😏❤Merry Christmas 🌲⛄
I just started to interest in photography and this is a big motivation for me!
wow, the quality of the video is soo good!
Magdalena Kujawiak yes which camera + lens is she using ?? Anyone
8:09 once i saw the picture I LITERALLY FELL IN LOVE
Your progress is stunning!
BLUE GOD VLOG great idea!
This video quality ughhh I cannotttttt 😍 grl you look so beautifulll! 💗
I’ve been doing this since 2015 and I often feel like I’m not going anywhere and that I’m not learning anything, but occasionally I take photos that I’m like “damn, I took that?!”. It’s nice to see how a favorite photographer of mine has progressed over the years.
The quality of this video is amazing, looks and feels like Im sitting in the room and not watching this on my old laptop screen!!
Wow I literally just drowned in your eyes for a second. Jessica, stop hypnotizing me by simply being this close to camera! lol
this video helped me a lot at the moment because, as of recently, I have been feeling discouraged with my photographs, but, then again, I realize now that I am only 18, and I have time to learn and grow with my skills. Thank you, Jessica!
This was so great to see. What would you say to someone who is in their first year? I find that I'm very limited on models/people to photograph, and the idea of reaching out to someone to photograph them is borderline terrifying
That Nerd people love their photos taken usually! Don’t be scared to ask!!! Ask your friends first or ask people in a local high school
If you're in college, reach out to sororities! I've worked with a few girls that I've met through friends of friends. The sororities are full of girls that want awesome pictures for their instagrams!
I’m 15 right now and I started photography previous year. I always loved making videos and simple photos with my phone when I was younger. Dont ask me why but Im addicted to photographing pigeons 😂If I see a pigeon I just put my camera at the highest burst mode and photograph as much pigeons as i can 😅
You are really talented,, I love the way you say model ☺️
I love watching my old photos, especially when I feel bad because I see huge progress and I am so proud of myself 😊
I recently decided to get a camera because I’ve wanted to learn photography for years and I want to finally start! This video made me really excited to learn and it was so cool to see how your work has evolved over time!
arely mendiola I’m so glad I saw this comment, I will be getting my first dslr next month and I can’t wait.
You have such great advice! I always turn myself away form things I enjoy doing because I always compare myself to bigger and better people. I just started photography and I started doubting myself but when you said, "You're gonna be this great photographer over night..." I needed that and I'm sure a lot other aspiring photographers will have needed that confidence boost.
“Like, my ignoring skills are on point” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Your photography has been great since day 1🌸😍
can you do this video with like a white backdrop with paint or something/ with the choice for people to pick out outfits, and do the 3 photographers make their own photo COMPLETELY.
"we only have summer for a day" omg truuuueeee
I wish more photographers would do videos like this! It's somehow inspiring/encouraging to see how the place you start doesn't dictate how you'll finish.
this has made me want to go through and find all my old photos aha! even though I've only been photographing for about 2 years, my style has changed completley!
great fashion photos Jessica. You're very creative and an inspiration to us all :)
I love how you recognize your old work and it gives me hope with my own work
This is actually really encouraging to see. Sometimes I get worried, and a little frustrated because, after two years of taking my photography more seriously, I'm still finding a style that I can call my own, and I'm still struggling to get any sort of audience. The fact that even someone as talented and accomplished as you took five years before you stepped back and questioned if what you were doing was what you wanted; still perfecting your craft even after getting models and learning how to edit properly.
There's still hope for me :)
Thanks Jessica, you do great work. xx
yo i’m really happy you made this video . because i feel like it’s so easy to look at somebody as talented as you and think that you’ve always had it perfect since you’ve started. but it’s so inspiring for you to show us this to get people motivated to do the things they like and develop it over time.
It is been 1 year that I am trying photography and your videos really help to improve my mistakes thank you so much , trust me I am just a teenager , ILY....
I took a photography class at uni and loved it so much! I loved walking around my neighbourhood and taking pictures, what i enjoyed the most though was night photography with long exposure, it was gorgeous and really nice
Yep. Thank you. I have been taking photos for 11 years and my progress is still growing. My photography teacher has taught me so much and still teaches me how to improve. I do feel discouraged with making it work but thank you for your encouragement. I know God has a plan for me and I need to be patient while staying determined. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for sharing this! For real!!! It’s so easy for me to forget that things/goals take time. So cool to see your growth in photography.
I've been a photographer for about 2 years now. A few months after I graduated in June of 2015 from college I decided that photography was something I wanted to pursue seriously. I worked with a friend who was looking to become a model. First time I shot with her it was so strange because I didn't even know exactly how to pose her and photos weren't great. Now looking back I would say I have a better handle at posing and positioning a model, but still caught in between just getting comfortable enough with meeting up with other models (I've typically shot my friend and a family member) and grasping how to take full advantage of how to get the most out of the light around you. This video was just a way for someone like me to just take in another photographer's experience and I do hope to make some huge strides in 2018 with my photography, so thanks Jessica for all the content you keep putting out there because it definitely has an impact on me and motivates me.
This is motivational. I watch your videos and I wonder when will I be able to take such amazing photos, but this video fully changed my vision. Experience makes the difference.💗
leafs and natural shapes are so hard to resist, like i have to photograph the entire forest..!!
will get a few good ones after 3 million pics ...LOL!!!
You’re one of my favorite photographers because you inspire me in my photography 💕💕
Your 2010 edits were really good . I'm not even close to that level but I'm learning 😁😁
just rewatched this & i'm so inspired you should do an updated version💗
thank you for telling us this, Jessica! I recently just got a Canon 1300 since i’m a beginner, and hearing you say that I will develop to become a better photographer in the future makes me happy! Thank you!
YOU LOOK SO GORGEOUS JESSICA OMG
2014 pictures are wowwwww!!🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺watching this in 2020 lockdown sessions
This is the best “look back” on photographer’s self-history I have seen. Thank you
Thank you so much for saying this ❤️ this helped me more than you’d know. I love you because you’re real, I appreciate that you’re open and honest
I don't do photography stuff, I don't need the tips you give to be a better photographer or anything like that, I just came to this channel to appreciate art, I love everything, keep it up!
Sooo yea...I just started looking at photography as a career in February, its now October, and I've done mainly music videos working with few friends who are local artists and now I'm working on a commercial video for a local salon (also have done just photoshoots which is my real passion)...but before this I just took fun pictures of ñandscape randomly through life 🤷♀️ fr though i do admire your attitude and work and i enjoy hearing others stories 😊
I am happy to tell you that you're the first photographer in youtube I watched the first day I wanted to learn photography. You are amazing and inspiring. Thank you so much!
"my ignoring skills are on point"
ok same tho
11:44 - WOW! Amazing work Jessica! I feel like this is one of your best pieces so far!
what ru filming with this is so crisp???
6d mark ii (got this from a previous vid)
Which lens?
Harley Eldridge probs the 24-70 f/4 IS that came in the kit
Probably the 6D mark II
Watch the video she uploaded before this one
thank you thank you. It's so nice to see a wonderful artist show off their work even when it is so far apart. It's just nice to see that everyone has a beginning. Happy New Year!
Firstly, STILL love you! Been with you for years. And lastly, your videos are ridiculously amazing!!! They are so crisp and the lighting, UGH!!!
can you do a video on what it was like to reach out to modeling companies, were you getting paid to work with them at that point or were you just trying to get as much experience as possible? your work is beautiful!
Your early pictures are still good. Thanks for the inspiration.
One of the most satisfying things fro me was watching the horizon lines straighten out.
you've inspired me. Also, I love that you asked other photographers to do the same and share their progress and growth. What a powerful movement that would be if all creatives took on that challenge.
Thank you for showing that it takes times to become very good in doing what we love, but we have to go on to see how far we can go !
I’m still an amateur but I remember my old photography when I first started and boy everything was over saturated and unfocused. I had the weirdest subjects like eggs and utensils like dang it’s crazy how much someone can improve by simply continuing to do what they love :)
Jessica, when you went to Agencies, did you do it for free?
John P that's my question too.
I can't believe your old photos were already that beautiful!
Hi Jessica! Thank you for this video, it really shows the uneasy path of a photographer. I don't know if I ever make a video of my own but I think that getting into it and actually thinking about what you are doing is very important. I turned to photogrpaphy in 2014, studied for half a year and that gave me a great start understanding my camera and light but I still don't work with models, for now I prefer shooting my friends and friends of friends if they want to. Anyway, about a month ago I saw my pictures in different light and I wasn't ready for this revelation. Still I noticed that my pictures, even some I am proud of, don't look like pictures taken with great camera by a photographer, they look pretty much ordinary. So my plan for this year is to upgrade my retouching skills and start working with more people out there. Thank you for sharing your ideas, thoughts and tips, they are very helpful!
What a terrific video. You've improved SO much since 2009. Hats off to you, Jessica!
I'm a photographer in the works, and this video is inspiring me to keep going and improving. :) Thank you so much for sharing your progress with us, and showing us that everyone has a learning curve. You've gotten yourself a new subscriber. :P Your humor is awesome, and your honesty is very refreshing. Thank you for being you!
this is amazing; i'm gonna go shoot now, but now with so much inspiration. thanks jessica!!!
"Glitzy shirt" photo is BOMB girl! :D
This video is old , I know. But you dont know how much the things you said at the ending of the video is helping me now that im on that situation...
you're legit one of the funniest people I've ever seen and I don't think you realise how funny you are
Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us, Jessica! For someone who is just starting out in photography this video is just pure inspiration😍🙌🏼
Damn all photos looks dope wish I had a photography talent like u (ps-i don't own any DSLRs)
Thank u so much! I'm studying photography with some people that already work with this and it's so frustrating, I fell like I never will go get there. You're pictures are stunning! Nice to know you're beginning. :)
love the one at 8:00 I think everything rlly turned around and looked really clean from there, though there were some really good ones before
photography is nOT easy :< i'm honestly horrified by all the photos i take which probably means i need a jessica 2013 (using all my brain cells) phase but i really hope i continue just stepping out onto the streets and taking pictures :D even if high school and homework kills me every day :D ily jessica
I'm a Michigander also, your candor is always refreshing. Thank you.
This video really encouraged me, thank you! I get very discouraged and I feel like I dont even know what I am doing, but you should me that it just takes time and patience, which is something I'm learning.
I can't believe not finding about your channel earlier, but I'm so happy that I did!
Youre such an inspiration ily gurl 🤦♀️
jessica! you should try to recreate some of these photos and make a video about it. i'd love to see the growth and the differences!
I'm here from 3 years later and this video is an inspiration
This is so inspirational! I just started and went out with friends yesterday to go shooting. I have to remind myself to change the iso.
jessica, your makeup is so awesome. So natural and simple. Makeup tutorials nextime? Pleaaassse!!!
Thank God you just told me the truth
I now understand that I am not just going to become very great all of a sudden, it will take time and years.
Even with a lot of videos and all that about photography and editing, it will still take time. Now I have to ask myself if I still want to sign up for it or not, and my answer is YES I am very excited to see what kind of Photographer I can become🙌🙌
Loving your setup in this video! Background, light, colors - everything is so clean and pleasing to the eye, great job!
A better comparison would have been "Disney in August". That's peak time for them because kids are on summer vacation, so it's a very popular time to go. Plane tickets to Orlando are at their highest in late July, all of August.
I love how the way you talk.
You are my photography inspiration!!! I love and admire your work so much, I myself am looking for my own style and you inspire me to experiment and see what i like and what fits me, so thank you soooo much💛💛💛💛
Thank you for the inspiration. You're one of my top 5 favorite photographers!
What you said towards the end of your video, I totally agree. There's times I want to just give it up because every time I start to get into this (like learning or messing with different styles of lights or photoshop), life just throws some bs at me and I gotta go back to square one. For example, I got a computer to start messing with the editing programs and then it gets stolen. I got a new camera (since I gave my first one to my sister so she can start taking pictures too) and I got into a car accident (just recently) and my camera broke. Now I gotta get back to start saving money for a new computer and camera. But as long as I continue to watch you and a couple of other photographers on UA-cam, or see the amazing images on IG, I stay motivated and I can't wait until I finally get back to learning and make my own images. Thank you for your content 🙏🏼 you're so amazingly talented 🙌🏼✨
i really needed this video! i was feeling very frustrated about my photography skills and this just gave me hope. thank you so much
