I remember watching you when I first started playing league a lil more seriously in s6-7. You just switched to TSM and the very first pro league game I watched was TSM vs CLG. My friend hyped me up by telling me that you just switched to the rival team and from there its history. Definitely made the right decision becoming your fan. Good luck with your future endeavors!

Why i decided to retire (for the third time)
I want the LCS to improve, I want NA to have more chances at international play. I want what we had a few years ago, where did it all go 😭 I hope there is a resurgence breathed back into the League because I love the esport and want it to grow even more than this year internationally.
Retired until Bjergsen comes back and then we all know what follows.
mmmmm if Bjerg comes back as a player. he did his little comeback and re-retired pretty quick. only way i could see him come back is if Mr. Beast actually fo9llolwed through on a team nad tried to put together a "super team" and DL got involved.
Retired and got acquired by Mythic Talent hollyyy the future is looking bright!
It´s sad that the lcs has become such a financial thing, feels like franchising is killing the scene.

I think that 2 teams leaving the LCS and Riot even offering the teams to pull out basically signals that the LCS is officially dying. I know it’s been said for a while, but riots recent decisions with letting Val take the weekend slots and Riot basically asking every team in the league to pull out officially signifies Riot’s intentions with the LCS. They are going to let it die and there’s going to be a very noticeable and drastic downturn in the league. Doublelift still wants to play and win an international event even now, but riot has signaled that there is no future for the LCS, so he realized that he will never be able to achieve his dream. He doesn’t care about money, he just wants the best team possible to give him a chance to win worlds, but with what happening ti the league, he knows it will never happen.
Honestly really sad for DL. He really wants to win but knows that with how things are going he will never have the opportunity to
to be fair, lcs spent like crazy to do nothing. also created zero content to draw in revenue for the team. fortunes were spent with no result, fixing the lcs isnt something that can be done by just throwing money at it. franchising was a disaster.
It kinda pisses me off that TL would not make you an offer, and have you fight against Yeon for that ADC spot.
You deserve to be in the LCS or play professionally. Hope you find a team that you are willing to play for.

The major reason is because not good enough to compete at an LCS pro level, let alone internationally, simple as that. DL has given it his all and it isn't enough and he is intelligent enough to understand that.
He got a great roster on 100T and now he's trying to loosely say that LCS isn't spending enough on talent which was his downfall? No honey.
so basically, what you're saying is.... lcs is dying cause every team is pulling back on money while riot said its definitely getting bigger and stronger in the long run. we should just bring back the challenger system, it felt like it was waaay more competitive.

Let's not sugar coat this: it is for SURE about the money. He was getting what ? 500k at 100T? Now, he is worth probably like 100k at LCS due to budget pullback. He can probably make a million doing streaming and contents but he gave that up to chase a dream. Now, losing 900k+ a year to chase a dream is just foolish and he def. Convey it in this video.
